Is the series dead, now that the reviews hated RE6 for being too action?

Billy was great, but he was a side character whose arc was nicely wrapped up within one game. As for Claire, she was a main character in the early days, and some (including myself) would love to see her return. The new characters introduced in the last few games just aren't cutting it for me (aside from a few in Revelations).

I thought Sherry had some potential as a lead character for future RE games and could easily replace Leon.

I can imagine a game where Sherry is the main protagonist and Leon is a side character but the latter is killed while uncovering Ada's secrets towards the end. I can't see Leon leaving the series without getting killed since he would never give up the fight against bioterrorism.

I hated, Sherry grown up ughh, I hated Steve God I wanted him to die over and over!

All I say is bring Claire back! She is the best, kills it in CV. And now she is just in the terrible CG movies...

I'd rather see Ada die than Leon. It would be cool if Ada gets mortally wounded and Leon has no choice but to kill her out of mercy. I think it would make Leon's character more driven and add much needed personal darkness to the series.

Yes the series is dead to me. Waiting for Mikami's Evil Within to come out next year.

Barry is definitely the number 1 character that should return, although he'd be pretty old by now.

Hell no! it's far from dead, each new entry or game reveal never fails to get the hype train rolling, I also recently checked RE.net and was taken back by how many people are actually playing RE6 at the one time. I guess those challenges really help a game's replay value.

I just remember laughing at how s*it the enemies were, those grasshopper ones? my god! I just could not stop laughing. I almost found it racist as it was soo bad. Most of Chris's campaign i just ran through as i was not enjoying it so much, you would have no ammo so u just ran past the dumb AI and as soon as u got to a checkpoint, they would all dissapear. terrible design! I had faith in Leons. but it was dull, and what and ending... "women".. my god i got to the boss with Chris but it was soo buggy i just stoped trying and never gave ada or sherry much of a shot. I just need to vent on this game.. vent over

I felt insluted at how bad it was, and that they thought it was ok. I was so upset in buying the collectors edition too, its terrible and just a plastic box with a jumper..

I loved 5 compaired to this tripe.

Despite its flaws I still thought RE6 was better than RE5. That's not saying much though as I consider it on the same level as Superman 64. That may be harsh but oh well.

That is literally the worst thing any human being could say about a video game. Anyone who grew up in the nineties knows that nothing can ever be "the same level" as Superman 64, nor could anything ever be worse. It's almost sacrilegious saying that, I mean think about it- games can always reach new heights in greatness, but without a solid floor in the pit of mediocrity, it means nothing. By saying something is equal to the worst game ever made in the history of man, A level of failure that was seemingly created so that no other game in the history of time itself could attain it... you throw the whole game ranking universe into hereto unheard of levels of peril. Tread lightly, good sir, tread lightly indeed.

The second RE4 was released, Resident Evils roots died. That's when it switched from survival horror to survival action.

Maybe IGAS could make a classic Resident Evil after 1.5 is done (I dream big)
