The important thing is that it has to create a contrast with what is settings preceding it. Which is why it worked so well in RE1&2: an old mansion and city's underground sewers system.
This is exactly what's been missing in RE4 and 5. Which is why I didn't like them as "Resident Evil games". Too much of a departure from mysterious bio warfare research formula. And this is why I was so glad to see it return in RE6. Would be nice to see it continue, but not on such global scale anymore.

Oh and by the way, they better not return to that middle east setting again, but this time with Jake as a hero. Oh no, for Sherry's sake no. No no no! That stuff is just way too boring, had enough of it RE5. No thank you.
Both 4 and 5 had hidden labs though... and yes, both for biowarfare purposes.

talking about labs, i think RE2 and 1 have the greatest proper labs in the game.
RE zero and 3 have the worse labs in the series(sadly). RE zero is all about that construction site and water disposal plant.

id like to see capcom building a lab who captures that feeling of "high security levels" and "high contamination risk". it could open way to a nice gameplay, unlocking new dangerous levels infested of zombies and even more dangerous creatures. it could use a scenario with small rooms, and using the havok engine to taking sound of interactive objects would be creepy, just like metro 2033 and FEAR 2.

Expanding on the city dying angle, and open world cityscape done over a period of time (say a week or something) could be interesting, though a pain in the ass to actually work out and make it fair, and also epic with a strong story.

Regarding Outbreak, it was just a generation too early is all. If it came out this gen it would be absolute gold. Such a unique multiplayer experience, there's still nothing really like it.

They did, but it was like "B as in Barely anything in there". It felt like we were just breezing through them as if it was another part of decoration. Basically it didn't give the sense of "Oh I see, so this where all the darkness is coming from. Now I'm really getting to the bottom of things!" as the origins of the series did.
And that humongous facility in RE5 that had thousands of capsules with human test subjects, that's just ridiculous. Paul Anderson's type of ridiculous. It's like they were trying so hard to impress with the quantity over quality.

Totally thumbs up for "high security levels" and "high contamination risk" atmosphere.
Though I have to disagree about RE 3 and Zero having worst labs. While RE 2 and 1 (REmake in particular) are a gold standard in accomplishing the lab environments, RE 3 & 0 and not so far behind.
And I'm actually one of those who defends the ever mistreated RE Zero.

the best idea for RE7 is: do not do it, let the legendary franchising rest in peace
but i would love if they do a brand new game, something like the last of us

Resident Evil 7 should be all about Jake and Alex Wesker. Maybe add a reason to have HUNK in there.

Sure, it won't be survival, but at this point I don't consider the Resident Evil series a survival horror franchise, more like a horror themed TPS.

I agree that RE7 should atleast unveil more about Ada, touch up on Alex Wesker, and will more than likely feature Jake going about his mercenary work globally(if that's what people want...).

Personally, if there was ever a need for a reboot or a side series going back to the roots of survival horror, I'd like an alternate reality(or even 3.5 as NB said). I wouldn't mind seeing a true Sengoku Biohazard series though, not the title it came to be(Onimusha). After playing through both Onimusha and an even more survival-like title called Kuon(and also seeing Chris's samurai costume), I really wouldn't mind if all of the characters and even the plot of the RE universe were twisted into the Sengoku or Meiji era. You could still keep the viruses and zombies if you wanted to, but this time they would have demonic influence. I could even see Wesker taking on the Nobunaga role.

My ideas about RE7 involve bigger boobs, swimsuits and more Ada clones.

My opinion on the matter is as follows:

I like Resident Evil 0. I like it so much that I would also like Resident Evil 7 to use the same engine and graphics.

Yup, as always that fits your description very well. Always spilling truth here and there, trolling as much as humanely possible, and then calling other people trolls. Learn what a fucking opinion is before you post some random crap.

It's like that other topic in which you say you wouldn't create topics about beheadings. Honestly 1) We don't give a crap about what you'd do or not do and 2) Give the guy a break.

But I highly doubt you will ever change that attitude of yours.
