I got a question: During the development of Bio1, was the story different before the redesign was done? What I mean is that when the game was designed for co-op, was the story very different or more or less the same.Last edited by Zombie_X; 12-06-2012, 09:30 PM.

At what stage were the letters/diary of George Trevor dropped ~ was it as late as after the 15 minute BIO trial demo, and why ? Did their removal have anything to do with too much similarity to aspects of Sweet Home, or was such similarity the reason for their inclusion in the first instance ?

They are also different from the text published in The True Story Behind Biohazard book. According to Dominion (my translator/hacker from 1998 to 2003) there is one new text and there are a few differences here and there (Dominion translated only the unknown text; it took us 6 months to get the TSBB's TL translated back in the day, and we thought that minor changes weren't worth the effort):

1. Was the dialogue of RE1 made intentionally bad? And did script writers tried to adapt the nonsensical dialogue from all those bizzare B-movies? (P.S. Yes, I know about limitations of the time etc., but RE1 really make me doubt if that really was intentional or not).
2. Were there any plans to use live action cutscenes with real actors in RE2?
3. Were there any ideas about making T-virus go widespread, and create post-apocalyptic scenario in one of the sequels?
4. Were there any early scrapped ideas about T-virus infected children?
5. Since in development of 1.5 it was considered that each game would be a self contained story (ala James Bond) with it's own characters, were there any ideas about creating an entirely new main character in RE3?
6. Except RE3, were there any plans for Barry to return and give him more substantial role, or even his own game?
P.S. Could the interviewer please post some of the answers to the previously asked questions?Last edited by fishboil; 12-25-2012, 07:00 PM.

2) No.
3) No.
4) No.
5) There was no self-contained story intention and there was nothing thought about BH3 when 1.5 was in development.
6) They thought about including him in others but just didn't.PROJECT Umbrella - The BIOHAZARD/RESIDENT EVIL Compendium

Few additional questions.
1.) Was the storyline of Biohazard 2 Drama Album: The Female Spy Ada Lives part the original draft for the BioHazard 3 that Hideki Kamiya began to work on and featured HUNK in a luxury cruise?
2.) How much of Christine Henry's family backstory was re-used in Code: Veronica, if at all?
3.) Was BioHazard 4's setting (and any of its predecessor vers.) influenced by the Loire Village's setting (village & castle)?
4.) At what point of development of the series was it established that Umbrella Corp. was founded by two aristocrats (Lord Spencer and Sir Edward)?Last edited by Kegluneq; 12-28-2012, 12:46 PM.

Forgive me, if these have been answered before.
1 - What was the source of inspiration for the background music of Bio1 and Bio2?
2 - How did experience with older video game consoles help with the creation of the Bio123 engine for Sony's Playstation?
3 - Bio1, Bio2 and Bio3 use opcodes and byte code for scripting of the in-game events. Were mulit-console ports planned from the beginning of the series' creation?
Thank You for the opportunity, News Bot (and PU Staff).I'm a blackstar.

Biohazard 2 Prototype (1.5)
What can you tell is about the FMV sequences from the canned version of Biohazard 2 also known as 1.5? It seems apparent that they were at one point completed before the game was scrapped. Did you ever see them and can you give us any information on how they directed the story of Leon Kennedy and Elza Walker?
