The Parasite Eve series is great. You should definitely check them out. Playing them for the first time, even over a decade later, is still a great experience. They are solid games. In contrast, Countdown Vampires is a game with so many problems, and it should be considered a pile of shit. Yet, it has a special place in my heart, and I enjoy playing it, even to this day. It's one of those games that, despite its many, many flaws, can still be appreciated.

Blue Stinger is one of my favorite horror games simply because it's plot and gameplay is a hell of a lot more unique than any other horror game. Find yenny, buy shit. The locations are really neat too, it's futuristic in a way. Kudos to whoever mentioned it, as it's my favorite dreamcast game besides Zombie Revenge.
Sadly, I did not know BS JP version had fixed angles like CV. I might give that a try!Last edited by Chris' Boob; 01-15-2013, 02:26 PM.sigpic

Galerians is good. But I'm particularly fond of dark cyber sci-fi so I might be biased. Great atmosphere and interesting story. Stylish.
Parasite Eve 1 & 2. The first one had a more cinematic feel to it. Plot wise it was also more original. The second game improved a few things in terms of gameplay, the action is sped up, the backgrounds are more detailed, but overall it felt less engaging than the 1st. There are some good ideas here and there, but as a whole the game just tries too much. It's like it says: Oh you liked some wicked monsters from the 1st game, well they are bigger and more of them now, you liked bio-genetic experiments, well there's a whole underground research facility dedicated to that. It's like the devs got a bigger budget and made a bunch of things prettier but the game lost its own identity. It's a excellent Resident Evil 2 clone/rip-off. If you just beat that game and wanted more, you should jump straight into Parasite Eve 2.
The series went to shit plot-wise with the 3rd birthday. Once again it's a fun game, but whatta hell does it have to do with Parasite Eve? A shame really, lots of unused potential in the series.
The final boss from Resident Evil 6 - Haos - looks like a creature that would fit perfectly into Parasite Eve universe. Someday maybe.
Deep Fear. It has a good (if somewhat cliche) survival horror premise to it. Looks decent, gameplay looks not bad, music by Kenji Kawai is great. The voice acting is horrendous, probably is the reason why I've been putting it off for so long. Youtube videos was enough to prove that. But someday gotta give it a shot on emulator.
Koudelka. Would have been a wonderful game if it wasn't for a slow ass shit battle system. Why trying to invent the wheel? Just make it play the same way Resident Evil 1-3 did, you're obviously ripping everything else off from them. That's where they fucked it up, not the fact that it had RPG elements/leveling up/random enemy encounter - no, it's the goddamn turn-based chess battle system, like friggin Shining Force from the early 90s. It drags on and on, destroying the pacing in the process. It should have been real time battle, where you can run around the small field and attack/dodge the enemies at will. Yes it's ok, you can leave the random encounter thing, but don't make us suffer through each dreadful battle. Otherwise would've been an amazing game. Very well done voice acting. Koudelka herself is one great character.
Fear Effect 1 & 2 are simply one of my all time favorite games. A near perfect blend of Blade Runner/Anime/Residnet Evil and a whole bunch of other great things in world. It just clicks so well together. Has its own gameplay mechanics flaws of course just like any other, but still the production values are top notch.
