  • You get plenty of dates in RE2-3 which was evidence from the very beginning they were taking place at different times.

Jill arrives at the station first with Brad and Nemesis (which would explain zombie Brad in RE2)

Most of the doors are boarded up but multiple attacks remove the barricades.

The window thing was a retcon which can't be helped since RE2 was first.

Leon & Clarie left on September 31st I believe and Jill left on October 1st after the city was wiped out.

I do believe is a "random Mr.X". i dont care about the story background, but there was a bunch of the Mr. X dudes after the G virus or to kill survivors.

"Mr. X" is not a canon name; I believe it was made up by S.D. Perry for her novels. There were six T-103 Tyrants; one was dropped into the RPD to retrieve the G-virus sample from Sherry (RE2) and was wiped out by Leon and/or Claire, while the other five were caught in a battle with the US Special Forces who were sent in to extract Birkin. However, the soldiers took the wrong elevator and ended up at the P-12A facility, where they (as well as the Tyrants) were all wiped out. You can see their bodies in the final battle room with Nemesis, as well as the room directly before it with the file on the floor.

A non-canon version of this battle was playable in *shudders* Operation Raccoon City.

        Mass production? Ridiculous!

It's pretty weird because me and my brothers have always referred to him as 'Mr. X' and yet we never read the S.D. Perry books or had the internet back in the day. I believe it was reused in magazines probably so the name stuck between everyone as an 'unnofficial name', I don't call him anything BUT Mr. X when he is in his coat form.

          • Mr. X is not an official name, however is still valid. But it`s more like a nickname, just like Licker or Crimson Head as they were originally intended. Mr.X is also a name to represent the point of view from a normal civilian, who doesn`t know that he is a Tyrant.

The barricades from inside RPD are not part of the cannon, they are just a bad gameplay solution to tell the player wich doors can be opened an wich not, but they are totally nonsense. It would have been better to put a simply message like "The door won`t open" OR "I don`t need to explore this room", since Jill`s objective in RPD is to retrieve her lockpick from STARS room, she have no need to explore the entire building and getting in risk of meeting more creatures.
The broken window isn`t also a mistake, they just didn`t have a background version with the crashed window when RE2 was made, it`s just a minor detail.

            • There were two T-103's in the rail cannon room I believe. The one that Nemesis ingests and another under the rail cannon.

Didn't the toys name him as Mr X?

Toy Biz, Palisades and Moby Dick did I'm pretty sure.

I was just looking at the map Raccoon Survivor posted. I never realized that the up turned bus in RE3 was right next to the RPD.

You mean the one near the parking garage (19 and 35 on the map?) Yeah, you can't see it from the emergency stairwell in the southeast corner of the RPD in RE2 and Outbreak, but it should be right there.

They really need to make an open-world Raccoon City game.

Yeah since that stairwell has a completely black background, which I love about RE2-3 since it gives that ghost town look to it.

A sandbox Raccoon City game I've dreamed about for years. It would be so amazing to be able to transverse all the areas that are touched on in the game.

Yeah, the barricades weren't needed AT ALL. Because they can be opened only when you get the Keycard from Marvin.

                            With Krauser's illegitimate brother?

It isn't bad, I can't get enough of seeing the RE2-3 cutscenes and that was based on the same exact technology.

                            • I just started playing RE0 over the weekend and I was thinking about everything that has been said about the geography of Raccoon City. It truly doesn’t make any sense, I know dissecting the games to this level kind of ruins the experience. But the training facility location seems like it would be far out in the woods from where the train rides to just like the Mansion but it’s close enough to the Water Treatment facility which really isn’t outside the city, and obviously is directly linked to the Birkin lab. But the Mansion has the most distance from the City so they cancel each other out.

I haven’t played the game in a long time since the past few days, but the warehouse in which Rebecca and Billy fight the Leech Queen, where exactly is that? It looks like it was within sight of the Mansion and walking distance. Zero really screws up a lot of continuity.

The one thing that’s bugged me since I was kid is where the hell the industrial district above Birkin’s lab is. No matter what you think, there is no denying that the magic elevator to the Birkin lab clone has got to be the real deal from RE2.

It was pointed out a few pages ago, but the idea that somehow Enrico catches up to Rebecca who was miles away at the training facility and in the lab and then back out into the woods to the Mansion, and then somehow gets through the entire Mansion and into the tunnels without any keys… wtf.

I hope you can make sense of that, hard to wrap your head around so many plot holes.

                              • RE0, unfortunately, took the excellent story of the first few games in the series and screwed it all up. Not only do you have the continuity errors that Snake and others have pointed out, but you also have men made of leeches singing opera in a robe on a cliff in the middle of a rainstorm. Things like this automatically make me take the other earlier games less seriously, even if I don't want to.
