I don't believe it one second. I read the original article at gamekyo and the reason why they believe it's gonna be a RE2 remake is because the nintendo event takes place more or less during the anniversary of RE2.

But I do believe that they're going to make an original RE game for the wii U.

If its true, here's hoping it is styled like revelations. Loved that game. Also hope they put a good deal of extras in, since remake had the whole Lisa Trevor subplot. It'd be nice to perhaps see an altercation between mr. X and birkin, or perhaps cameos from the outbreak characters.

Was RE6 considered a "flop" by Capcom? It didn't seem to live up to their expected sales prediction and it's already sort of bargain bin material at this point. I can kinda see them going (ever so slightly) back to RE's roots if they realize that their over-the-top action formula isn't working out for them anymore.

Mikami had absolutely nothing to do with BH2 and didn't even like it. Kamiya doesn't like horror and is happier with action games.
