Oh, wow, those are really fucking awful. I thought Tribal Sheva was bad but these...wow.
Someone needs to send someone round to Capcom to explain to them, 'If you don't make women uncomfortable by making them look like fuck toys, more women might play your games.'
And of course women don't get the subconscious idea that all men want is skimpy outfits and sex...thanks there, media.Last edited by Darkmoon; 02-03-2013, 03:29 AM.

I actually love most of these designs.
Thing is, the different approaches shows that whoever did them is able to spin around different themes. Also, I love what material some of them totally draws inspiration from. Some pretty cool and subtle (and a couple of not-so-subtle too) sources of inspiration. Also, these are probably only a fracture of the overall amount that was done for each character - going by how they seem to utilize digital paint and a simple template. Probably just a day's work.
As for "women in skimpy outfits" and the whole "sexy" subject;
Spoiler:
from my own experience - women are by far bigger "offenders" (if we're gonna call it that) of producing/consuming content of such nature (not to mention trying to shoe-horn it in anywhere) than most people are aware of or willing to admit to. And I'm certain that if I get to hear one more woman moan and gush on about her "girl crush" on some "bad ass" female plank from a BioWare game, how they think Bayonetta's so awesome for "using her hair as clothing" and "stripping to do power attacks", how "Random Annoying Anime Cliché" that dresses like a slut has the most awesome dress ever ('cause she "doesn't give a fuck what others think"), or how they want to crowbar in a bikini dressed female "fuck toy" into a testosteron filled action game franchise about conquiring raw oil resorvoires for drinking purposes and barbecuing of bacon ("salted/flavored" with protein powder - of course), whilst riding battle beasts in the shape of mecha rhinos in order to lance one another with giant erected cocks ... May God have mercy upon your souls.

Soo many awesome designs that would've changed my opinion on the game, they could've added all of these, the RE4 Ada is sweet, Ninjia and Witch one and Carla one too, all of them are awesome, it's too late though, they wanna keep em for DLC that's for sure ...
I was asking all the time about RE4 Ada dress costume, and now I found out its not included but was planned ...
They give us Palette swaps instead of one of these awesome costumes.Last edited by Mrox2; 02-03-2013, 09:30 AM.Darkness : Tactical reload wasn't even in deadly silence LMAO

Leon in casual blazers and trousers looks surprisingly awesome.PROJECT Umbrella - The BIOHAZARD/RESIDENT EVIL Compendium

The Leon costume on the bottom row, second from the left reminds me of Doctrine Dark from Street Fighter EX Plus Alpha (a wonder that a game with that title was never successful).Last edited by GuardhouseMusic; 02-03-2013, 10:54 AM.

There is nothing wrong with 'sexy' characters.
What is wrong is the near complete lack of well wrote or well rounded female characters in video games. When all you have is a skeleton of a character there isn't really anything to focus on except for looks and looking sexy is a positive, always. Even when going for another look primarily, like dressing businesslike, don't want to be businesslike and ugly, you want businesslike and sexy. When people says things like "Well that clothing is totally inappropiate for that situation" they are delving into character depth which as mentioned is usually a skeleton so is a lost cause and rather pointless.
The only times characters clothing should be criticised is when they are well wrote and well rounded characters, because then an inappropiate costume detracts from the character, but if the character is just a skeleton in the first place the clothing doesn't really ruin anything because the character wasn't very good in the first place, so may as well just enjoy it for what it is. If going to complain then complain about the character having no depth, is a much bigger crime.
When you find well wrote characters they tend to not be dressed so inappropiately though, if the creators care enough to write a good character they usually make sure not to ruin it.Last edited by Dracarys; 02-03-2013, 11:10 AM.Beanovsky Durst - "They are not pervs. They are japanese."
