Hmpf. Sometime, we made tests/previews so maybe that's what you have...

      Yep, that's the one?

I think I may have confused that video with what's actually on the tape, however. Gotta dig out that DVD...

I don't know, that's what I am asking you, ha ha
The page I'd linked (and the video on this page) is the only one devoted to video footage of Romero's commercial that I have on BHFR. So, if your tape is different, then I don't know what this "BHFR B&W video" is.
The only other Romero material I have is the translation (from English to French) of a website made by Norman Holland here: http://survivhor.biohazardfrance.net...urnage_01.html
He got some nice behind the scene coverage of the commercials

I've noticed that some of the RE2 Soundtracks used in the background of the video sound different from the ones featured in the final version. At 2:50, what sounds like a different intro to "Leon with Claire" can be heard. Then at 3:30, "The First Malformation of G" can be heard, but sounds slightly different.

I still have the scan, which I will provide.
So, Dot50Cal is the Curator! I knew someone on here was the master mind behind this whole thing. Well, I am glad someone here is going to share?

It's too much of a coincidence.

I wonder if Dot50Cal is also mr bzork too? Well, Maybe he bought the copy inflames shown too? Anyway, I hope to play RE1.5 this year.

Dot50Cal was the curator ... at the time ... my god, it's a title handed down through generations ... Or maybe it's just a fucking generic title used to describe a person who acts as a host for an exhibition/museum

Also, funny trivia; I think Dot50Cal's one of the few to've received a double-page for their collection in the magazine that covered him. Most collectors only got a single page. Man, he was so nervous about what to show and not show in that photo too (including himself; 'cause normally they do a profile shot of collector holding their "most precious" collectible) As for that tape, it was shared online after it was digitzed, and, yeah, Anders is the current owner of the original tape.

That's wonderful, but I still think Dot50Cal is the curator because it is too much of a coincidence about wanting a museum etc etc. I am not angry, just glad that I will finally get a chance to play RE 1.5.

Why they spent so much on that CM then just gave it like 1 second to air is beyond me.. The credits list is frigging huge.

The Romero one? Contract requirements. Specifically due to Brad Renfro. They wanted a young American who had a growing popularity in Japan. They got Brad Renfro who was a deal at the time, but his family and agents didn't want the commercial tarnishing his image in the west with a silly TV spot. So due to his requests the commercial wasn't released anywhere else. He wasnt even allowed to be referred to by name in English press only as "actor X" That's why the US one used the abstract cut shots of zombies and Claire only.

The irony of all this is crazy. The first is all the damage Renfro did to his own career and name all by himself before later killing himself. The other is that the cost of the Romero commercial was the largest Capcom had spent with notes saying the cost actually outstripped the games development. The fact it only got a release in Japan with all that money spent. Crazy.

Yeah, we've got a HUGE misunderstanding, here:

John (Dot50Cal) was to be the curator of his special Resident Evil only museum.

"The Curator" was the associated with PSmuseum.

                              Big difference.

He was so proud of that article... and I'm still proud of him. I need to relocate that and post.

                              Brad Renfro
                              May he rest in peace.

                              Indeed, and questionable.

More than the game's development? That's a shock to me.. and it was shit!

Yeah I heard about Brad, didn't he have a half-japanese son as well? Sad, wonder if he met the mother because of the production of Biohazard2 CM?
