So due to his requests the commercial wasn't released anywhere else. He wasnt even allowed to be referred to by name in English press only as "actor X" That's why the US one used the abstract cut shots of zombies and Claire only.

The irony of all this is crazy. The first is all the damage Renfro did to his own career and name all by himself before later killing himself. The other is that the cost of the Romero commercial was the largest Capcom had spent with notes saying the cost actually outstripped the games development. The fact it only got a release in Japan with all that money spent. Crazy.
I had no idea that actor played Leon in the Romero directed commercial! And he didn't want to tarnish his image with these commmercials? Here is more proof that Una Kavanagh is Jill in the Re1 PSX Intro and Ending Movies, to me anyway. I thought she probably thought this would ruin her career.

Anyway, the JIG IS UP, La, La, La. We know now and still love you!!

The thing is, I remember reading about the guy who tricked Dot into buying something that was fake and then Dot gave his address on the forum etc etc, The guy who died, I mean. Well, he made a statement that he would reveal something about Dot and RE1.5. And to me it all makes sense now. Dot must have bought RE1.5, from someone maybe inflames or his source? Then, he made a plan with people here (The team) to release the game for us spoiled RE fans to make us happy. Under the alias, Curator, he had to protect himself from annoying fans that probably would harass him constanly.

Well, after Mark Grass (maybe the programmer on the team) said that about Dot and a museum, It was just too obvious to me. I am probably the most skeptical Re fan here, so it is hard for me to believe the excuses I read here many times, and through the years. I have joined Bioflames 2004! I have waited long enough, and I am not demanding anything but am very happy and grateful for Dot and the team for all the time, money and effort put into making us happy. Or maybe, not?

Well conspiracy theory or not, I am happy for the teams using their free time and energy

...OK, Black Crow, can you seriously stop throwing random accusations around? Ones that make no sense at that...

Everyone knows Dot had (had, as it has or is being sold) a huge amount of RE stuff, including an arcade machine of Gun Survivor 2. It was even featured in a magazine.

Then we have Curator, who released some 1.5 stuff, and who Dot busted as the guy trolling people via an e-bay auction...which was, apparently, really him. He was offering $3000 for a disc he'd already been offered $300 for, then decided no, better for get that $300 offer back.

'Cos that's not odd or nothing.

P.S - I've worked in a Museum. I even acted as curator there. Doesn't mean I am the Curator. I don't have that much disposable income.

Thank you! Will you be my friend too? Seriously, PUBLIC forum, means people will READ things and come to CONCLUSIONS of their own. Sorry, but I just think out load. I know you are friends with others here, and I am not saying anyone here is a horrible person, but I would like to thank the moderators, alzaire etc for their own time and effort for making a entertaining website here for REsidnt Evil fans.

P.S. I respect your opinion, but I have my own so we can agree to disagree. ;)

Yeah I heard about Brad, didn't he have a half-japanese son as well? Sad, wonder if he met the mother because of the production of Biohazard2 CM?
I remember reading the same, but it's doubtful it has anything to do with the commercial - it was shot in Downtown Los Angeles. Unless he went to Japan after as part of further promotion, which is always possible.

As for the cost, I recall it's noted in the background visit written by Norman England as part of the info he gleened from the production notes and being on set for the whole production. Just going to find the quote....

What is the Biohazard 2 commercial?

The BH2 commercial is the most expensive commercial Capcom has made to date. It was directed by George A. Romero. In fact, the cost of the commercial ($1.5 million) exceeded the development cost of the game. There were two versions, a 30 second and 15 second commercial. While the commercial generated a lot of publicity for Capcom, the sucess of such a costly commercial is doubtful, and since then Capcom has not repeated the venture.
He wrote this in the late 90's, so obviously since then Capcom have made other live action commercials... just not ones with large named directors attached. Plus I expect the marketing budget on something like Bio 6 was much larger than this, but given the scale of production and expected sales thats the gamble you take.

You can call me a horrible person if you want. I'm a big boy - people call me mean names a lot.

I am simply tired of you coming up with these bizarre theories. I assure you, if Dot had 1.5, he wouldn't have been in serious trouble when he was in a car wreck and couldn't pay his medical bills. You saw the letter from the Team, I'm sure - you saw it went for nearly five figures. That's not a problem for someone who has 1.5.

Dot did, and probably still does, have some Beta stuff. Maybe some of it's stuff that hasn't hit the public domain yet. But he isn't the Curator, and he didn't decide to troll us all on Ebay, which is what you're essentially saying by the way and part of why it ticks me off.

You seem to have an odd thing about claiming that the people who've worked hardest in the past to get us 1.5 are really the ones hoarding it for themselves...

NO, I actually like chatting with Dot in the past. I do appreciate ANYONE that goes through the trouble of searching places, and spending their time and money to bring us things. And, you have INSIDE information, you can't expect an outsider like ME to really know the whole story. This is why I speculate on this matter. I like a good mystery, and I find it entertaining trying to figure out who the team is etc.

I don't mean for anyone to be hurt personally, so don't take it so personal. This is a website, and many people view it, and write a lot of information. If people don't want someone like me to come up with conspiracy theories, then they shouldn't be putting anything on a website to be viewed by thousands.

I'm pretty sure that anyone who's seen Dot50Cal's activity statistics for World of Warcraft (ever since he started playing ... again) could safely say that he doesn't exactly do much around these parts anymore

I respect your opinion and Darkmoons, but you have to respect mine even if it sounds CRAZY. I been around the community a long time and have seen many fake claims and scam artists, and pranksters etc. I don't trust most here, that is the way I feel.

1 - It's not Dot. It makes no sense for it to be Dot. Here's a simple truth - neither this site or your opinion is important enough to make me lie. Carn knows about that, and Dot did before him. You can think as you will, but I'd really prefer for you to not hurl random accusations out there. Next you'll be saying I have 1.5!

2 - The Team doesn't want anyone to know who they are. I'm sure everyone's speculating as to who exactly they are, but out of respect for them, there reasons for wishing to remain private and the work they're doing on our behalf, no one else is throwing random possibilities out there. If you truly appreciated these people like you claim to, you'll keep your speculation nice and private, until such a time as any or all choose to reveal themselves.

My opinions don't hurt anyone, because they are just my opinions. No one is crying about anything I say. I doubt the things I write on here make people's lives worst. This is just entertainment to me, it's not personal. I think everyone here should stop writing about themselves so much, showing their images etc. If everyone remained anonymous people wouldn't take things so seriously like I don't.

And I knew Darkmoon had RE 1.5!
