These are all points that I wanted to make too, but I was beaten to it! :-P

    Also regarding these:

I wonder if the Team will adjust it (along with adding the missing ornamentation, of course).

      • Probably a bug or something, but when you click "use" on the Nut item, assuming you are in fine State, it causes you to go into Caution. I haven't tested with Danger, etc yet.

Also pressing start+select at the same time opens the control config menu.

e: My status is now a Crow, awesome.

        • I was trying out DB's latest patch. Seems like ROOM 203/L TUNNEL 2 actually had half of it's backgrounds overwritten with a different corridor. The original boundaries and ADT masks are still there though. The drop down ledge in the back leads to the overwritten segment:

EDIT: Messed the outline up. The invisible door is actually on the other side of the tunnel.

It seems like more and more evidence is piling up in favor of those areas not featured on the Drains B2 map being scrapped.

            • Looks like the area it got replaced with eventually became the flood tunnel connected to the L Corridor:

If you go by the "green" areas on the disk and the ones we see in era 2 media, it seems like they progressed quite some ways in developing the "green" sewer network done before they decided to scrap it in favor of the era 4/5 sewers.

              • Pressing all four shoulder buttons ( L1, L2, R1, R2) sets cut mode to manual (the switching of backgrounds), like in the Biohazard 1 Beta. Pressing all four again disables it.

                • You only need to press L1+R2 to disable background switching.

                  • Heh, someone on YouTube commented on my Elza Walker RE 1.5 Walkthrough that the released RE 1.5 is a "total fake" because the opening door animation in RE 1.5 was the same for all the rooms. I explained placeholders to this idiot, but you can't fix stupid I guess. X3

You should have apologized to him and admitted that the game was completely fake and that he has a sharp eye for seeing through your clever tricks.

There is always the mindless conspiracy nut who will appear out of the woodwork to try to upset the apple cart. Just like the purist RE 1.5 cult who wants ONLY the vanilla build to achieve some sort of cosmic spiritual RE 1.5 enlightenment, even though it contains like half the stuff in the Team's old WIP build. But again, you can't fix stupid I guess.

It's funny because at this point, all I want is the background images from the final build and then I'd leave the community in peace. I hate lowering my standards... :-(

That's kind of my plan too. I'd hate to be around the crazies here longer than I should.

                            • I'm honestly intrigued with the idea of porting RE 1.5 characters, rooms, and features into RE 2 PC Source Next, it's a very interesting idea. Dark Biohazard has made some attempts, very interesting thus far.

The problem I have is, and I hope I don't offend anyone, but all past attempts I have seen at recreating RE 1.5 on RE 2 PC have not been focused on accuracy. And by that I mean that most attempts don't even try to sync the RE 1.5 rooms together coherently and accurately, but rather most RE 1.5 Mods I've seen just string a bunch of totally unrelated RE 1.5 rooms together, one after the other, with no rhyme or reason as to their linkage, and not even bother to try to fix it so the characters don't just walk through everything in the damn room (chairs, tables, walls, objects, etc), and just toss in a bunch of random kazillion zombies in each room, and think that somehow adds up to a faithful RE 1.5 recreation. It simply doesn't. Interesting attempts at RE 1.5 to be sure, but isn't accurate in the slightest.

The Team on the other hand, seems to know what they are doing in their recreation. And I look forward to their expert work most of all.

As for RE 2 PC Mods, hey, if they can fix any of those obvious problems I pointed out, they'd be golden attempts.

                              • I noticed with some 1.5 PMODS that they are random or try to make the game overly hard.
