Outbreaks are AMAZING games when playing in lone wolf mode (ironical but true), because its main and only problem are the AI partners that ruin everything. When playing with no allies, both games deliver a true and very realistic survival experience, with a lot of replayability because of their different characters, a lot of optional events, level variations and also different chapter endings.

A new Outbreak (probably with another name but same concept adapted to the current generation) could be an excelent game.

I wish we'd get a proper Resident Evil online game, similar to Outbreak, but done better. More like a MMO. The whole Raccoon City is rendered in full, and you create characters, or select characters, and you join in the online survival. It's full 3D, with personal changeable camera views (first-person, third person, semi-first-person, etc.), and it would be really fun. It would be about survival, not shooting things up like in ORC.

That just sounds like DayZ or The War Z, which function just like that and are pretty fun. I think what made a resident evil game was its style (fixed camera, control scheme, atmosphere,etc.). Outbreak did a good job of sticking to the classic RE style while updating it ever so slightly to make the game easier for people to get into it.

Ok, i think this is the perfect oportunity for Capcom to do a spin off about the original Resident Evil Bravo Team! A spin off prequel: RESIDENT EVIL: OPERATION ARKLAY MOUNTAINS.
This game would feature a a co-op campaign (where players control Enrico Marini and Richard Aiken) and you would actually get to see how your Team dies in during the mansion incident (Edward Dewey goes first running away from the dogs, next is Kenneth inside the mansion, then Forrest, and then would show Enrico and Richard split up, Enrico heading for the underground lab then getting hurt, then have Lisa Trevor show up some moments, have a better explanation how Enrico found out about a traitor among the STARS members. Then when you finish this campaign you open a mini-game with Billy Cohen showing how he escaped from the Arklay Mountains meeting some BOWS (crows, zombie dogs, a few zombies maybe even the Proto Tyrant? When you reach the minigame ending you see how Billy has to fake his identity now with a new name, etc.
And finally you could play multiplayer Mercenary stages with the members of Bravo, Forrest, Richard, Enrico, each one with its own set of weapons, and cool finishing moves, etc.
Would be a nice way to tie, old things with the new RE style.

Maybe Enrico had some teleport skills and psychic powers: He travelled the whole distance from Arklay to Birkin`s lab on foot, then went back from there to the mansion, entered the courtyard without need of any key, discovered and entered into the secret pasage behind the waterfall without solving the crank/battery puzzle, and discovered Wesker`s betrayal.

A source close to Capcom, let’s call him Gob, has told Geimaku that the next Resident Evil is already in the works and that it’ll be next-gen.
                So, wait...

...this guy is telling us that a new RE title is in the works? Call me a little bit skeptical...
                Mass production? Ridiculous!

                  My thoughts exactly!
Would love that to be true.

Revelations is a main entry, no way they could make such a Revelations 2. And ORC (and the chronicles too) fucked with everything about Raccoon City so there is no more to do with Raccoon.

Nothing about a next RE will be revealed, I guess, until Revelations Unveiled released. Given the fact that RE6 didn`t survive the hype and the sales exèctations, they need to see what happens with Revelations, and that would give a clue for them on which way they should take.

a Bravo Team game would be the perfect opportunity to explain the path Enrico took during RE ZERO and REMAKE and tie the loose ends.
Actually it is a bit confusing because some people believe that the underground lab of RE ZERO is not the same as Birkin´s lab regardless of how it looks like it is. And about how Enrico entered the courtyard, well he could have entered through a whole diferente entrance (that we have never seen or known about).

Outbreak (REO1) isn't bad. It's very good for what it is and what it was supposed to be. It's biggest problem then and now was that it made the same mistake as did RE15. It didn't have any really solid ties to the established RE mythos other than some of the locations (Raccoon Hospital, Birkin's Lab) and the occasional supporting player from the other RE games (Nicholai). No Chris and Jill, no Claire or Leon, no Barry or Rebecca, no Ada, and so on. They even removed Birkin from the actual game scenarios (although his monster form was still hidden on the disc). REO2 was essentially more of the same - although this time you got to play in the RPD itself AND the Hive complex from the first RE movie, and you got Marvin and the other RPD officers. More familar locations, but STILL the odd supporting player here and there. They even managed to screw up how the city was destroyed in both REO1 and REO2. Mind you, I like them both too, but without that - uhmm - "main character connection" of the other RE games, it just didn't seem the same. If they had included some of them as playable characters, or even NPCs, then the two Outbreaks might be thought of better than they are. I still like both games, and I think either one of them is better purely as a game than either ORC or the Chronicles series - but they have that "main character connection" that the Outbreaks don't. That's forever going to color how many people look at them.
Do you know where I can find the final build of Resident Evil 1.5?

Outbreak was a closer look at the Outbreak in Raccoon City. It's cast is far more suiting to the type of game it's suppose to be. A normal cop, waitress, normal person caught in the Outbreak.

A spinoff? I would love a RE themed kart game, just saying
