Sorry, but Dead Aim CAN save.

Survivor 1 would be the game you're thinking of where you cannot save and needs to be beaten in a sitting.

If you can stand top play the newer games, Dead Aim should be fine.

Dead Aim does almost everything better than BH5 and BH6, at least conceptually. It is more action-orientated and yet still focuses on exploration with plenty of atmosphere. The current developers could take a few notes.

Yes dead aim is better than re5 and re6. Infact, Re5 and RE6 are trash.

RE4 being like it was, was one thing. But RE5 and RE6 completely flew off course and are no longer even looking like their former selves. If you took the old re characters out of those, it would 100% not be an re game.

I personally think RE4,5 and 6 should of been their own IP.
RE should of stayed survival horror.

Um... and this couldn't be said about any franchise, probably ever?

This is a bit exagerated an unfair to put it to that level, RE5 and RE6 are games with a lot of work and effort behind them, we may not like the results, but they are still quality and enjoyable games with a lot of content and gameplay hours. Dead Aim is a short arcade game that doesn`t offer nothing but less than 2 hours of gameplay in a first run.

I'm confused, weren't these mere checkpoints? I should replay it.

No you can save and come back later.
But if im not mistaken i think it was RE Outbreak style, where its a temp save and next time you load it the save is wiped.

Dead Aim is definitely worth getting, and I'm one of those people who will defend it to the grave. It fixed everything that was wrong with the earlier Survivor, has a good story (most definitely better than RE6), good atmosphere, AND even if you don't have a light gun, did you know that you can play it using a USB mouse plugged into your PS2? Because you can. Simply plug a corded USB mouse into your PS2's USB port before you boot the game, and you can then aim and shoot with the mouse.

Also, why all the hate towards poor Bruce and Fong Ling? To me it helped the storytelling when the game switched to new and fresh characters again, and they worked great together after a rocky start. I'd very much like to see those two come back.

Also, you can most definitely create a persistent game save to a memory card in Dead Aim.

is the game good? worth buying?
The game really isn't that good IMO, I bought it just for the collection back in 2004 and it was surprisingly hard to find at Gamestop back then.

The graphics are decent, and you'll notice that Bruce McGivern's general outfit/flashlight design was carried over for Leon in RE4. As for Bruce himself, he looks a bit like Bud Bundy and has a southern draw. Most of the voice acting is horrible, but hey, it's Resident Evil right? The story isn't much better and with a main villian named Morpheus that should be a red flag. The basic plot covers the themes of being stuck on a luxury ocean liner similar to Revelations(I thought the name "Spencer Rain" was kind of cool), everyone trying to get their hands on a stolen virus, and a

While I liked the plot and characters of Survivor better, Dead Aim is without a doubt the better of the two Gun Survivor titles as a game in general. Best played with a GunCon, something I never had, which I'm sure would have made the experience a little more memorable. It's not the greatest game but it's better than Survivor and Gaiden, and has a very...unique feel to it, to say the least. I'd say pick it up. It at least offers the atmosphere of the old games, something you won't be getting from modern titles anytime soon, so you gotta get it where you can. If you end up not liking it, well, you're just short a few bucks and you have a new RE game for your collection. Fair trade.

I liked Dead Aim, it was a fun little game although short, still fun. I liked the soundtrack as well, especially the save theme.

I just never really got why:

But there wasn't any game-breaking features that ruined the game overall. It's fun to play, I'd definitely check it out.
