  • Outbreak turns 10 years old this year. Would you support an HD Remake?

So as alot of you know, a new outbreak/hd version has been one of the biggest RE Fan requested projects.
Well, outbreak turns 10 years old Dec 11th 2013.

Many have asked for a PS3/360 port, and never got it.
Capcom just dont want to for some reason, and it also comes down to "The code for the online play is lost" which is a lie. Capcom could strip out the online component and remake it.

Or, they could simply remake the entire game. A release on current gen consoles with all levels on 1 disk would be the perfect thing. RE4,RECV,RE Chronicles and revelations all got HD ports. Why has outbreak been left out of the picture for so long?

Would you want a remake, port or sequel?

They would most likely re-release it as a HD Port, which would be good if the online mode was present. I own the first Outbreak but never really played it but I think it would be nice to see a HD Port.

Ive seen so many threads on unity asking this question all the time. Im highly surprised capcom is blind to the fact.

Outbreak alone sold over a million copies on only 1 platform. Thats alot.

If they made a third outbreak for 3 platforms (PS3,360 and wiiu), it would sell double (or more), than outbreak sold.

Well pc gaming with multiplayer games is popular now, and with steam, releasing this on PC would also be beneficial.

There was a rumour of a PS Vita remake that I passed along to Unity, and it caused a lot of commotion...

There is very little that I would not do for a Outbreak remake / sequel. I don't think they'll do it though, I think they have lost the plot.

Id support a new outbreak, but not for Vita only.
Id want it on a console worth my time.

I'd prefer a new outbreak game or HD port of the original ones as opposed to another operation raccoon city

A steamworks compilation of both Outbreaks? I'd pay full price.

                      ^Me too!

Id pay $100. Seriously. $100 is what id pay.
If capcom does this however, they better not be sneaky and say, release Outbreak 1 in HD, but all outbreak 2 scenarios are stripped into DLC.

What i would like though, is outbreak 1 and 2 scenarios on 1 disk IN CANON ORDER (Outbreak, hellfire,Hive,Below Freezing point,Wildthings, underbelly, desperate times, flashback, decisions decisions and end of the road.), and a few new scenarios, and possibly scenario dlc.

Id love to see the scenarios that never made it finally see light.

I don't see why it couldn't be released on Steam, especially after the Revelations is being put on there. I'm sure they could do a good deal with it, including the soundtrack and artwork with the pre-order and perhaps some other Capcom game on Steam.

I think the reason for revelations coming to PC is capcom is likely trying to expand their PC market. Another is because Revelations sold great on 3DS, and they project it will sell great with the HD edition they want it to rerelease on as money additional consoles as possible. Capcom loves money.

Capcom said they hope to release a lot more games on the PC platform in the upcoming years.

Yeah, as if CAPCOM cared about Outbreak fans.
For them, it was just a little spin-off game that went wrong.
