Outbreak turns 10 years old this year. Would you support an HD Remake?

I would be very pleased on support this but it`s pointless, it`s not going to happen.

Aww, come on! Think about how Capcom could "improve" Outbreak for a whole new generation of fans according to the "vision" they think we should have of the franchise! Lets see, we could use the ORC game engine and graphics, we could give it an all-new RE6-like backstory that wanders all over the place without really going anywhere, we could keep the lousy enemy/autoplayer AI or make it even worse, we could insist (again) that everybody use Capcom's own servers for Internet play instead of Steam or some other service (and we dare not let players have the ability to set up their own servers - gasp!), we could add a cute and really offensive kid exclusively for American audiences (or just include RE4's Ashley Graham - same difference), and - best of all - not include ANY ESTABLISHED MAJOR CHARACTERS from other RE games ... AGAIN (presumably so it won't compete with Mercenaries). Now ... wouldn't that be a better "modern" Outbreak, ala Capcom's current trends?

A sequel because I still have the 2 original games. I could just go out tomorrow and buy an Outbreak 3. Oh no that's right gaming has gone to rats and the only consoles in fashion now are the crap box, wee wee, and pisstake 3. How I hate evolution.

I felt the same! I always wondered why they ported the less successful and less demanded chronicles, but continued to leave outbreak out.
If capcom did a kickstarter id happily support with money.

Chronicles was easier to do and sold moderately well. Outbreak bombed and is still unfinished.

How did outbreak bomb? According to capcom the first OB did well, OB 2 failed.

All Chronicles managed to do is tease people who want remakes, and was mostly all recycled content from outbreak. (Locations, models, etc, are all from outbreak.).

First Outbreak sold well because it was a fresh new style RE, but its AI problems and its non-online badly harmed the sequel I guess.
It`s a shame, because playing Outbreaks in Lone Wolf mode is an amazing survival horror experience, it`s far better than playing with the AI.

I was thinking about it, it would be great to play Outbreaks online with other people using PCSX2, the game runs perfectly on this emu and loading times are very short, I wonder if is there a patch, plugin or whatever to play PCSX2 online, does anybody know?

We could play Outbreaks (at least on PC) online if it`s possible instead of waiting for Capcom miracles.

No not possible. Tried many times. Whats the issue is that Outbreak never supported LAN, and the servers were shut down. Even with PCSX2, it would still be impossible.

Up until june 2011 i was playing Outbreak on the japanese server, as it still was one, but they shut down in 2011 sadly.

Stupid capcom.

Same, for one thing i'd like to of seen how they were originally intended to flow. Initially Outbreak 1 and 2 was supposed to be one whole long game, there was going to be another laboratory or facility instead of the university where we even learnt more about the origin of Nyx. The lab also at somepoint had William Birkin's first form as the boss, I know because i've seen the 3d model. The cutscene of the university level begins with George in the police station this shows us that originally that was going to be the level before, and the hospital was obviously supposed to be before below freezing point because of the connecting sewers. Incidentally does anyone have any material from Capcom about the unfinished or originally intended scenarios?

Ive also seen the pictures of birkin.
I did a report on it on my old survival horror site, but i shut it down a few months ago.

Do you by chance still have a photo of it?
