Do it, NOW. Arguably one of the best RE of all time, way better than RE2 in my book. Good thing is, the GC version is the best console version, however, the DC version of RE2 is the best console version (Nightmare Mode ftw), not the GC one which is a poor port from the PS1 Dual Shock Edition.

Heh. Yeah, I've decided on RE3. I've also decided to forgo buying the GC version of RE2 all together.

RE3 is an underrated game. You'll appreciate choosing it. It blows my mind that you went 14 years with only having played a few minutes of it though.

With emulators, retrocompatibility and the PSN how is it even possible to have never played such a game if you are a Resident Evil fan? It eludes me.

            A) Emulating is in legally grey waters. Waters I don't intend to set sail upon.
            B) I have yet to own a current Playstation console, as I am a PC enthusiast.
            C) You can be a fan of a series without owning everything that has ever been made with the Resident Evil name on it. XD

I do have other interests that far outweigh Resident Evil... despite the fact I'm a member of a RE forum.

So I guess you never touched 1.5 and won't ever do it, or are you just a hypocrite?

There's nothing gray about emulation's legality provided you buy the disk to run from.

Well, I never had the urge to buy it before now. Now that I want to buy it, I might as well buy it on a disc that I already have hardware for. xD

xD Here's a shocker, I really don't give a shit about 1.5. *Waits to be stoned* Is it interesting to watch the development? Sure. But in the end, I highly doubt I'll play it.

You're actually quite fortunate to never have played BH3; you get to party like it's 1999! The rest of us will likely only have another fresh retro experience upon the completed BH1.5.

As great as RE2 is, I'm glad you've chosen to get RE3. Make sure you play the mercs!

you know how RE3 has a dodge system where you can dodge any attack with proper timing, umm.. i have RE3 for the game cube and it seems that playing it with the game cube controller makes it hard as hell to dodge. just a word of warning i guess.

for this reason.. i don't recommend getting RE3 on the gamecube format. (im a nintendo fanboy ind even im saying that)

I've beaten hard settings without dodging a single attack, its not really TOO big an issue.

I also hear that Capcom might be considering releasing 2 and 3 on GOG.com... which would be awesome.

I recently bought Far Cry 2 from them and got the game DRM-Free, the entire soundtrack, poster prints, wallpapers, artwork and the game manual for five dollars. FIVE DOLLARS! That place is amazing.

                                Still waiting on the delivery?

I started playing RE3 again today (PC Version per News Bot's recommendation), and in one sitting I got to the Clock Tower chapter on Hard mode. I suppose when I was young it seemed like an eternity to get to this point (it's been many years since I've played, and I'm not insanely good like many members here are). I'm curious to see what you think of this section of the game and how well you do the first time around (at 10 years old it took me over a week!).
