    Ebola Zaire laughs at you.

I read this book for an anthropology class in college back in the day and it was honest to god horrifying. I was remembering the 'Itchy-tasy' journal from the first RE game the entire time I read the book. The description of people vomiting up 'black blood' as well as taking an appearance of being mummies while dying stuck with me.

The fact that a woman who died in the 70's blood was still 'hot' with the virus despite being frozen for almost 20 years(book was released in 94') is scary enough on its own.

"Weak" as in compared to the Progenitor Virus and its variants. Ebola just kills people. It may do it horribly, but you can't exactly make a mercy killing game. It will never be relevant to the series:

However, Birkin at this point had no intention of looking over the record of Ebola itself for the purpose of research in either case. The virus had too many weak points.

First, it can survive only a few days outside the body and is physically removed simply by sunlight (UV rays).

Second, since it kills the host organism (humans) much too early, there's scarcely little time to move onto its next host.

Third, direct contact is necessary for host-to-host transmission and protection is comparatively easy.

But, as an example, I want you to think about the following.

What if a person struck with Ebola could stand up and walk with a steady rate of virus multiplication inside the body?
And if that person could actively seek out uninfected humans in a diminished state of awareness to infect them?

What if RNA, the genome of Ebola, could influence the human genome?
And imagine the human body endowed with stamina like a monster so it could not easily die?

Could it not become a "Bio Organic Weapon" that spreads the virus in its body to other living organisms in a now clinically dead state?

It was fortunate for us that Ebola did not exhibit such properties since only we could continue to monopolize them from now on.

Personally, I want the U.S. government or some other party to start using the t-virus for gene therapy. Not with the intent to create monsters, but for beneficial purposes... that don't follow through very well.

News Bot was saying that they wouldn't make a game where you actually go around mercy killing, as in, the gameplay. That was just a cut scene.

Oh, I know that was what he was saying, but he wasn't as specific as he could have been.

I would've expected you to use common sense.

You don't, why should I put in any effort there?

C virus proved that, though I did find the T-Abyss more interesting.

Please present an example of where I don't. Otherwise; stop trying to argue over nothing.

You're complaining about arguing over nothing now?

You spent the first page of this thread chastising Shane over his topic.
Wheres the common sense in that? This is a forum for open discussion, not for you to look down on other people for wanting to share an idea.

You like to argue, not talk.
Don't complain about someone arguing with you when that's pretty much your nature.

I chastised him quite rightly for reasons already stated. As you say, it's for open discussion. That includes negative comments as-well, and everyone should be aware that they reap what they sow each time they post. People don't get a free pass for being wrong or making a poorly constructed topic.

You chastised him 'quite rightly'...bullshit. You don't get to determine that, especially when these discussions pop up and you never bring anything to the table.
All you do is bitch about other people sharing their thoughts, but you don't present anything of your own. You tell others why their ideas are wrong, make fun of them for having an idea, and generally leave it at that.

You chastise people because you don't agree with them, instead of just disagreeing with them. You can't just say "sorry, I don't think that would work", you have to deny the other parties idea entirely because you always have to be right. Which makes your presence in these discussions all the more sad because as someone who translate material the rest of us cant read, you could at least be civil about presenting the facts from the developers side, instead of acting like a child about it and automatically trying to shut down the rest of us for trying to think outside of the established box.

You aren't the torch bearer for "whats right in Resident Evil". You're a fan, just like the rest of us.
You can at least try to be as civil to us as we try to be to you, even though you choose to make that incredibly difficult.
