I hope so. Remakes or Re-imaginations always get a thumbs up from me, because some series cannot be further built upon. It's better to perfect a already classic game than ruin the series by mediocre or plain bad "sequels"...

I wouldn't buy it if they released it. They would say "It's the return of horror" and all that crap on the trailers, and the game itself would be nothing like that.

Never say never, they know a remake of 2 done in the horror style of the 90's would sell by the boat loads. As I said to a friend before they probably planned on keeping that as their life boat so to speak.

^ I agree. I imagine Capcom has "RE2make" as its ace in the hole, last-ditch effort. Much like how Square-Enix has officially stated that the only time they'll do a complete FFVII remake is if they once again find themselves on the brink of bankruptcy or closing and need to employ the real "Final Fantasy" tactic that saved Square in the first place.

I think a RE2 remake would be too short, unless they added ridiculous amounts of new story. Games are expected to be longer now. If they did one I'd think they'd need combined RE3 with it at the very least.

Be better in my opinion to just reboot and combined RE1/2/3 into one big game.

I would be very happy if they release a very common zombie game, taking place in a city.

the visuals, mechanics, graphics and everything should be RE5 graphics, for me is good enough.

no stupid shooter zombies, no insects and clone bull****. and for god sake, no stupid Ada. she brings nothing to newer games. shes a secondary character from RE2 and only that.

i dont care about character, for as i know, RE4 DMC era would feature a new protagonist.

It´s possible, if they combine RE2 with RE3 and expand some locations such as the sewers, factory, streets, it could at least double the average lenght of the old titles, plus the fact each character has two scenarios. Not too long either, but we can´t expect super large games anyway now that RE6 has been critisized for being "bloated" and Capcom needs to cut their budgets.

It would be the perfect oportunity to fix some plot-related things that were poorly executed (and also fix some things that bother too many people like the window broken by Nemesis and the wood boards ).

Minigun-toting robotic Nemesis incoming. Now with more tits and assplosions!

Current CAPCOM can't be trusted with the old titles. They will butcher them.

Oh no, please no. give it a check on Nemesis from the Umbrella Chronicles.

it will make you feel nauseous.

the 2 games are already perfect, everything beyond that does not work.

Man alive I would love to play through a REmake style RE2/3 combination.

The sheer terror that game would generate for me - probably slightly less these days than REmake did back when I first played it - roaming the huge expanse of the RPD and the city with the graphical finesse REmake had when it first launched. Not to mention the freaking Crimson Heads. I'm not sure I'd make it through the entire game sitting on my own, ahha.

I initially liked the idea of reaching the stage Jill gets infected and the game leaping to Claire and Leon's scenario, however that would be complicated to manage with the approach 2 took with replaying the game from each perspective. You'd end up with some form of "Jill Part A - Claire Scenario Perspective - Leon Scenario Perspective - Jill B" which wouldn't flow well at all narratively I don't imagine.

I'm not surprised REmake didn't sell well with the Nintendo exclusivity as everyone else has already agreed - I always hated that back in the day.

Umbrella Chronicles ruined a lot things, not only Nemesis, it´s a crappy spin off and they could do something much better with a bit of effort.

I allways liked the idea of a remake with alternated chapters between Jill, Leon and Claire, and with the chance of any of these characters dying affecting the plot, if one of them die, then you can still continue with the scenarios of the other two, but at the end you get a better ending, rank and unlockables if all of them survive.

Well, such a crazy idea I guess, but there are no bad ideas, there are wrong ways to execute them.

That wasn't quite what I was getting it, it was more about the fact that they have very, very different tastes and styles.
