There are 2 things they could do for environments in the next RE game, jungle or in an sub zero environment. Yeah we had our brief moments in Revelation and 6 however you can't get anymore isolated then that. Having Barry back seems to awkward since hes going on in age but then again he wouldn't be like the steroid pumped heros in the last 2 games. We never here anything in regards to Rebecca, who knows she could be a scientist trying to decode the virus structures to prevent future outbreaks. Claire I have no clue what she has been doing in the RE universe after that CG movie. Sure they could bring in a new cast to make thing more interesting. Maybe bring back Ark Thompson since he was in my opinion one of the few RE characters that wasn't all action based. For some reason I see for some good tension a part where you have only your knife like in Revelation but not have it confiscated and instead get lost and and have to search for for your equipment since it has an important item you need to continue the game. Just my 2 cents worth.

SIMPLE - Bring back a major corporation - Umbrella would be nice but that's pushing it..
I always thought a massive corporation that had its fingers in all the pies (U.S government, massive financial advantage, global labs) was FAR more scary in itself than a few 'terrorists'' that are in modern RE games.
Either Reboot and bring back Umbrella - or make another - Tricell was a nice idea (that they used Umbrella virus's) but 5 was rubbish when it twisted into Wesker's plans rather than the COMPANY itself.. would have been better.
And again Neo Umbrella was only there so Carla could be 'queen' - like Alexia - this ruined it for me.. fair enough a new Umbrella COULD have been scary, but no."I never thought any of this stuff my brother taught me would work!"

Just remake Bio2 already and call it Biohazard 7 and follow FF's naming scheme.. Or they can create a good game. That's all.
No need to overload it with pointless characters, plotlines and endless mercenary modes. RE4 was a good game despite having a ridiculous story. However, RE4 was hard to follow as it interrupted the flow of tings, hence games like RE6 eventually appeared. If they reinvent it and perhaps wind back the clock (as personally I can't see what's interesting about the future in the Biohazard universe) it may be possible for us to get a good game.

RE4 was a good break from the old RE gamestyle....but after beating the crap out of it I couldn't help but want the old gamestyle to have what RE4 had.
Good combat system
Good camera system
fun upgrade system
more explorable world
Unfortunately RE4 broke the mold so much we got RE5, which was bad, and then RE6 which was worse.
I will always maintain that the RE series needed RE4 to prove that you could do more with the series than zombies, Umbrella, and Raccoon City or Rockfort Island. But RE4 ultimately destroyed the series in the end and the new direction that Mikami left behind just ran into a corner the very next game.
They just keep wasting opportunities at Capcom these days.

Then again, my interest in previous entries (Bio1, 2 and 3) have been extremely faded and tarnished, as well. I guess it really is better to just let good things go when the time's right... which is far past that point.

The only thing I can state in response is that I'm kinda sick of Raccoon City, just totally burnt-out on it and everything that happened there.I'm a blackstar.

What they should do is fully remake Survivor, but this time it will be a immersive FPS game, like Breakdown. The script was good but needs some tweaking. The game, remade, would be something awesome. Movement would be more realistic and should control more sluggish like Killzone 2. This would make you feel more pulled in. Combat should still be somewhat challenging as the enemies should have adaptable AI.

The series has endless potential. The doom and gloom is pretty reactionary. I'm more worried about the creativity of the developers than the potential of the series.PROJECT Umbrella - The BIOHAZARD/RESIDENT EVIL Compendium

I'll wait to see the game in-action, before I decide on buying it - just as I did with Bio6 (which I still haven't played ).I'm a blackstar.
