Wow. I hope it comes out in 2015 as well, because 2005 was such a great year.

I was hoping Capcom were going to take their time with this one instead of trying to pump another one out. Maybe it won't be a super ultra kickass action extravaganza game but there's nothing that would lead me to believe otherwise.

They should wait other year, if they going to show it in the E3 this year, they need to eliminate the First Person Camera and add the old one or correcting the mistakes, adding the old system: Ink Ribbons (In this case, in a modern era: USB), Item Box, etc.

Even the G-virus couldn't reanimate the corpse that this series has become

I struggle to see where it can go next. The storylines that far gone theres not much chance of "back to its roots" ever happening. Im not bothered about vilagers with parasites, I want good old fashioned zombies. Will that be the case? No. My moneys on another Bioterrorist, a bew multi billion corporation etc.

Arguably zombies are fairly popular at the moment, with video games such as DayZ, State of Decay, Dying Light, H1Z1 and the Walking Dead, and that's just naming a few of them. With this in mind, perhaps Capcom will consider bringing back zombies due to their popularity. Of course, I'm not expected RE7 to be absolutely groundbreaking, but I'll wait until the first few trailers and gameplay to come up before I comment on it.

I don't expect something revolutionary with RE7. Capcom surely looked at RE6 response and Leon's campaign was usually fairly well received. I expect them to expand on this concept for RE7.

So, I will not be surprised in the slightest if RE7 has a gameplay similar to RE6 (with improvements of course) and zombies in it.

Here what they gotta do. Sure have another outbreak somewhere but have a new normal character that has no background in in being a badass But also bring back the old pre-RE4 style. Or if they wanna keep what they have now have it act like the new Tomb Raider/The Last of Us game. Have the character in the beginning be totally without a gun or without any way of surviving unless you use whats around you, have stealth being a big part, have shit ton of zombies everywhere. Make is feel like you are actually in danger.

I'd love a new RE to focus on horror, regardless of the camera angles, but I think in order for that to work, the series' timeline needs a fresh start. The potency of Jill, Chris and Leon's original stories is now lost as they go up against countless bio weapon outbreaks and repeatedly bump into T Virus Wesker in endless amounts of underground labs.

The abandoned RE4 prototypes have more potential for surprise than another straight continuation of the series. If anything, I regret RE4 bringing Wesker and Umbrella back and not abandoning all of the legacy completely.

Needs Claire because she is not BSAA she wont have access to shit loads of weapons and grenades forcing her to find any weapon she can, like in the old days of resident evil, not to just find a new gun in a nice silver box.......

and of course add some new fresh characters but I wouldn't want a reboot. people were not happy with the dmc reboot so what makes them think they will like a resident evil reboot , besides I buy resident evil games because I like the characters and have known them for years so it's best to keep the old characters while slowly adding new characters to replace them as each game comes out, to bad they didn't do that with Chris, I was really hoping he was going to die in re6 and piers would have taken his place.

Also resident evil 7 should not have Chris , Jake or Leon, Jake is the worst resident evil character ever created and looks and acts more like he belongs in a dmc game. Chris's attitude sucked in re6 and his voice actor pisses me off I much preferred the resident evil remake Chris , he looked more realistic instead of this new military American muscle man we have now .

would also be nice to see Rebbecca , Billy , Carlos , maybe have sherry appear again to interact with Claire , would be nice to see after all these years.

That's a ridiculous line of thought right there. That's like saying "people weren't happy with Transformers 2, so sequels should never be made to anything."

A reboot will not make things any better. We'll just lose the universe that was created since 1996 completely. Do people really want that ?

And a reboot will not automatically make RE more survival horror. Capcom will still have to make tons of profit, anyway.

no reboot. do new franchise. resident evil has for long become a universe and not a gameplay.
