RE(make) and RE0 were very unique cases, Nintendo took part on the development team so they didn't want to allow these two to leave Nintendo.
Outbreaks could have been ported anytime, but since they're completely underrated and misunderstood (especially by modern gamer's way of thinking) there's no point for Capcom in porting them only for a handful of old-school fans.
GS2 is just plain shitty, who would buy a port of that crap? Besides, it was actually ported once: from Arcade to PS2.

I'm not particularly fussed after RE6 anyway, The Evil Within seems to be looking great. And let's face it, how can you go wrong with a survival horror game from the producer and director of some of the greatest Resident Evil games? It seems like a natural transition to me, especially since TEW takes a step back back to survival horror reminiscent of RE4. Perhaps Capcom felt they couldn't compete with Mikami? I honestly wouldn't be surprised if they was the case, other than of course the rumours turning out to be false.

I first read that as Silent Hill 4.. I was excited for a split-second thinking Silent Hill 4 had been announced, then I realized it was released 10 years ago and it sucked

I never understood why people think 4 sucked when its story was quite good, with Henry being a surrogate for the players and the focus being on Walter in story terms. It was more Japanese in horror, but that isn't a bad thing.

Well, Nintendo is set to reveal a big 3DS game later today, but I've not seen this title they want to sell over 5+ million copies, and a 3DS Resi certainly would not reach those numbers.

News Bot could still be right, but like he said things can change and we may need to wait until a later time to see the game.

Man, I was so pumped. Infact outside of what Sony was showing this new Resi was gonna be my highlight of the show, this E3 has been rather shite in my opinion.

It's the best from Capcom's action horror games that's for sure and a worthy entry into the RE series.

SH4 wasn't terrible but its overly-linear gameplay style hurt it quite a bit. Walter Sullivan was definitely the highlight of the game. The rest of the content was mediocre especially when compared to the previous two installments.
