      Thanks Imacwesker!

Ok that's twice now i've seen Dr Hursh in the below freezing point scenario. Theres an image on the back of the case that shows him in the culture room.

I have a theory, could be wrong but i think the level that took place at that motel was reworked into Hellfire. The reason i think this is because I've never really seen the two scenarios co exist in the same material with the exception of this trailer where we only get a glimpse of a room from hellfire.

Interesting color pallet for the characters, they're almost glowing. I wonder if that was to help you spot other players better.

I think so, having two hotel scenarios in the same game wouldn't have make much sense.

Why not? One's a city hotel and the other is a small motel in the outskirts.

Never seen a hotel as a much interesting setting for a RE, I mean, two labs is fine, two hospitals too, but well, urban daily scenarios are not my favourites, but I guess for some reason they completely replaced "A day in Raccoon" by the Apple Inn, I looked at BiohazardFrance and apparently there are no beta screenshots from Apple Inn, so I go with the idea that both stages never coexisted at the same development stage.

Btw, going to share this video with the obsrv community if anyone already did it.

I like the common locations that civillians would have access to. It's cool to see places you use in daily life become deadly environments in a game,
              .
I think what happened was a day in Raccoon just didn't really have much going for it in structure so they moved it closer to the heart of the city and added the tension with the level burning down around you. Another thing that kind of supports the idea is we don't see much of the outbreak scenario which was probably going through constant revision. it wasn't until the later trailer we got a few shots and even then they were only select locations in the bar, not the streets. Maybe mickey was moved to hellfire at one point in an attempt to salvage him similar to when austen was changed from dock worker to zoo employee.

ooooOOOooo A clearer capture of the first trailer! Thanks a lot for that.
If you rewatch the trailer a few times you can see the last missing camera angle of the motel lobby's fourth corner that can only be seen in this video. Also I am 100% certain that A Day In Raccoon became Apple Inn based on images I compiled of both motels.... annnd I cant find any of the final pictures I saved to compare them with the beta ones. Digging up the original topic I posted them in in bioflames doesn't seem to help either. But yeah the bathrooms and room furniture are identical.

For the record, none of the scenarios were "scrapped." Tweaked at best, but they were all intended.

So then its extreme to say that a day in raccoon became hellfire ? If they were separate i guess its still a mystery what happens then. I wish i knew what exactly the other 10 scenarios covered, what holes they filled. Does the story make more sense with the other half of the scenarios ? If there was a connection, who else did they run into and was it people from other scenarios like the firemen from hellfire rescuing you in decisions decisions? So many questions.

No hes implying the opposite. Strengthening the possibility that A day in raccoon became apple inn. I wonder why we lost the rain element. If not for that scenario for any of them then.

Yes, literally half the game's story is missing.

No. A Day in Raccoon and the Apple Inn are entirely separate. They were not combined at any point. Just because you did not see the Apple Inn in early trailers does not mean it wasn't there.

Such a shame - this looks miles better than what we got in the end - look how smooth the animations are - loving the walking animations here.

Those walking animations are or rather WERE used in the final game. You had to go online, go to downtown server and wait for others to join your game while you were in the prerendered in game lobby. Obviously you can't see them anymore. Those stair animations were replaced for the better.
If they didn't merge a day in raccoon and apple inn then they took a lot of elements from day in raccoon putting them into the other.

As you can see here they simply took an entire group of furniture from Raccoon motel and mirrored it into apple inn and just simply rotated the chair 180ยบ from its original position. Other things like besides the identical bathrooms, they took the hole in the floor used to traverse between two floors, moved it from a bathroom to the chiefs office.

I found the walking animations from this early demo quite dull and generic. Retail animations give a more unique personality to each character instead, though some of them might look a little exaggerated to someone who's not used to Outbreak. Having 8 characters with different movement and standing animations is definitely a nice detail.
