Claire's voice has a Laura Bailey vibe to it. Moira's voice sometimes sounds like Eden Riegel, and other times like Ashley Johnson. There's already a lot of dialogue in this short demo, I honestly don't think they are placeholders.

Claire sounds older for sure... Alyson did have a higher pitched voice which worked for the 19 year old Claire and was pushing it for the 24 year old Claire so for a 32 year old Claire this sounds about right..

How is it pushing it? Alyson Court was only like 24 when she recorded Claire for RE2. She was about 35 when she recorded Claire for Degeneration, who was about 26. Alyson is over 40 and still sounds roughly the same.

This whole "her voice sounds more mature" is stupid. Your voice does not drastically get deeper just because you get 6 years older, unless you are like 12.....

The new voice actress doesn't have a drastically deeper voice but it does sound a little bit more fuller (not sure thats the word I'm looking for) I think they are just trying to steer Claire away from the cute little girl next store look and bring her up to the big boys now. they would probably do the same thing to Rebecca (if they bring her back)

I also agree with Wrathborne, Rev 1 and this seem so much better than the main series.. I wonder if Capcom are going to make a trend of this - as in, split the series into two divisions.. one for horror, and one for action??

I hope not, I'd rather RE7 take cues from REV 1 and 2 TBQH

Tomb Raider could be heading the same way - a modern, survival type (TR Reboot and Rise Of The TR) and a more old school - pre reboot - path (Guardian of Light, Temple of Osiris)

I suppose that way, they can keep the entire fanbase happy, no matter what you like.

It's sad that Alyson is not returning to voice Claire but this older voice sounds fitting. Her voice can't stay the same for 15 years, I mean she can't always sound 18.

Damn it sucks Alyson is not present anymore. Without Alyson, Claire wont be the same, Alyson is probably 40 so her voice still is realistic and it fits Claire perfectly. Still glad they returned her character, Revelations 2 will be the last chance I give to RE.

As fun as they are, I wouldn't call the co-op, twin stick shooter anything like pre-reboot TR.

As for Capcomn, well the naming system won't make sense when people starting buying REMaster over the Winter. Let's hope that sells and integrate horror and exploration in the main series and the idea of side titles being where the survival horror experience exists in the franchise.

The only reason people expect 7 to be like 5 & 6 Capcom is because you went down the route of action titles with them, not because we demanded it.

So basically, they're saying that Resident Evil 7 is going to be another Call of Duty/Gears of War styled action game just like Resident Evil 6, which got tons of criticism because of the action route it took?

When will they learn?

This Revelations being the only horror type is BS. it really is. The survival horror versions of Resident Evil is what gave birth to RE, and now they're throwing all of the old fans aside, and making the main series more action, and the side games horror. If anything, shouldn't it be the other way around?
