Wow, we have a new stalker character it looks like. Its welcome and all, but it looks like a bit too much like the Executioner from RE5 for my tastes.

Still, Wont judge it until I see some more, I'm digging the location more now that They've shown off some areas beyond the prison.

Stalker-type enemy is becoming a cliche now for RE. There's been some version of it in every game since RE4.

You're right. Not sure why I didn't think of that. I guess the stalkers in RE2 and 3 didn't bother me so much because while they were tough bosses, they didn't instantly kill you every time you got close. I hated the instant kill moves of Dr. Salvador and Executioner.

            Instakilling irritates me so much.

These guys don't kill instantly but inflict very heavy damage with their hammer.

The producer of Resident Evil Revelations 2 Michiteru Okabe explains the team's emphasis on horror and the new episodic structure for the game's release.

                    New gameplay footage and interview.

It certainly has some low budget jank in places but that does not concern me. Moira likes her immature comments but this may be something that gets knocked out of her as the game progresses.

Well the gameplay length is what I was expecting and thats still pretty disappointing, an 8 hr game in total is what he says. I was seriously hoping for at least 12. I'm going to estimate that there will probably be maybe 5 chapters of this total, the 5th chapter for Barry.

Still I wont speculate beyond this, in all honesty I think I'd be happy with them adding some DLC to this game if it does really well. Even just a 1 hr side chapter for...Character X or something, because I am digging the atmosphere, the music, and how things are progressing.

Thank you for sharing this new video! The pre-rendered CGI cutscenes look atrocious. The animations (both body and face) are so poor. Even RE5's in-game cutscenes animated much better. As for gameplay, Moira's flashlight seems to function a lot like Alan Wake's flashlight. You shine it at an enemy long enough and he will slow down or be stunned.

8 hours is pretty good for a $25 game. Metal Gear Rising Revengeance was full-priced at 8 hours.

Revengeance also had tons of replay ability thanks to a clear ranking system, unlocking a ton of things, and it being fun in general. I paid full price and I don't regret it a single bit, especially since it was just so darn fun, a lot more than some resident evils. Hack and slashes like mgr, bayonetta, and so forth don't rely on a bloated game time to justify the purchase and it is somewhat amusing to talk about game completion time for a resident evil game which, generally, are not that long.

I think it's a good thing that REV2 is rather short.

RE4 is too long for me, for example. Especially, when the story is not so important. A short, cheaper but effective game is better than a big ambitious game that starts to get boring half-way through.

Yeah, BIO1-3 are only about 2 hours long on average.

CAPCOM's "CLUB96" service has a poll running now about who people want to appear in the game. The list is:

                                Parker Luciani
                                Barry Burton
                                Steve Burnside
                                Chris Redfield
                                Sherry Birkin
                                Leon S. Kennedy

Poll ends on the 24th, the character with the most votes will have specially made wallpaper and Twitter avatar made. If Barry wins we'll probably see what he looks like in this game.

EDIT: Steve's currently in the lead. Fuck, people are dumb.
