Well, after seeying tons of vegetables on facebook complaining about the remake(for being a "remake of the remake", no RE2/3 remake, this kind of Bull****), i think they are right protecting their money.

Capcom's latest policy...

In the end its up to us as individuals to decide how we use our money in regards to entertainment.
Resident Evil is almost 20 years old, I will always maintain that the first 8 years it was a fantastic series that held my attention, something I was happy to throw money at, and what I loved to play more than anything.
But since 5 came out, I haven't seen any of what I loved used anymore, I haven't given them my money and I've felt betrayed as a fan by what I see as very poor story choices, lots of missed opportunities, and overall bad management by Capcom.
Even with Revelations, which I thought was the best RE game in almost a decade I'm still not ready to say "I'm in" on Revelations 2 or any future RE games. Because I'm still seeing things done on the business side that I absolutely detest and consider insulting to the fans of the series. I mean this same company that, what 6 years ago?, said "we're going to focus on our new audience", which was a polite "fuck you" to the people that supported the series from game 1.
And yet, here we are 6 years later and they're returning to what made the series popular and what lots of us were pleading for.
Now it almost feels like they're putting in "rules for popularity" in regards to franchises and putting the burden on the fans to make things successful.
I've got a better idea, make a really fucking amazing game instead. Because if its an amazing game, it will be successful, stop creating passive aggressive policies and just make something really good. I don't doubt anyone here wouldn't purchase a fucking amazing Resident Evil game...And stop being pussies about the goddamn graphic violence already. Jesus, I watched the Evil Within from start to finish and saw more good old fashioned gore there than I have in the last 3 RE games.
I get that Tokyo is now incredibly anti graphic violence, but Tokyo isn't the whole market.Last edited by Wrathborne; 10-18-2014, 07:15 PM.
