  • Remake HD audio sped up?

A friend of a friend posted this video where in he compares the audio tracks from the ps3 version to the gc ones. I'm no audiophile unfortunately, so I am wondering what opinions you guys have about this?

Update: Here is the link to where it was first mentioned on Biohaze by SG79 (to my knowledge).

Sadly this is what pisses me off to no end about this collection. I just don't see how this could go unnoticed!

Fingers crossed this glitch was - or will be - fixed for the U.S and PAL versions?

im sure it can be fixed in a patch, konami was able to correct the fucked up pitches in the silent hill hd collection through patches.

I bet they never played the game so OST is normal... they released the pc trailer with the weird music, i dunno, people should post this in the ask capcom forum.

Everything can be fixed with patches these days. That's why many developers don't even care about releasing games without bugs/glitches; better just let people act as beta testers then throw some patches to fix the most annoying issues.

It's not that Devs don't care, it's that the industry is so punishing at the moment with missed release dates that they're forced to release titles like this.

A missed release date won't just cost you alot of money, but a slot at a manufacturing plant (if releasing on disc) and you will have to book in another appointment with Sony and Microsoft for certification testing.

That's not to defend the situation we're in, it's horrid. Especially when you couple it with the fact that people are increasingly encouraged to pre-order special editions at high prices and publishers are increasingly relying on review embargos to hide the real state of a release copy of a game from the public. But Devs' hands are usually tied in these situations.

To be honest. the fast pace versions are pretty cool. kinda give you the impression that you need to haul ass before something jumps out and attacks you. so no complaints here.

^ Well no... a fast TEMPO could be a good thing..

Its the pitch thats off here - because the music is sped up , it effects the pitch (like fast forwarding a cassette tape, remember those LOL)
The lab music sound horrible and has lost all of its creepy atmosphere.

I think the Guardhouse theme actually sounds alright. It sounds a lot like the RE1 version now. I can't say the same for the lab tracks though.

Hopefully the Steam fan community fixes it before Crapcom does

I hope it's fixed for the upcoming release, I wonder if they were sped up intentionally, although with the redone soundtrack of Directors Cut and how brilliant that was, it's silly that I ask.

How can we preorder a game with NO statement about the bugs?

I wasn't able to pre-order the game anyway, as it wasn't available on the PSN store for me until this morning. Anyway, after playing and completing Jill's scenario today, I can confirm that certain soundtracks are sped up. As I suggested in a previous post, perhaps this was done intentionally? Although it's a little weird that they have.
