  • New video in the works (Preview)

You guys very likely remember that I first came to this forum with an amateur 2 minutes of voice recording, using a pretty damn cheap setup & barely any equipment to make something of better quality.

Let's see about changing that, shall we?

What you see here kinda serves as both a preview & a deleted scene. It does that by having two lines of dialogue that were recorded/delivered in a different way to how the final version will sound. This version is supposed to be a little closer to the performance of Haddad, but since my goal here is to actually create my own variation of this performance, I wasn't gonna let this one go. In fact, what better use for it than to show off a preview of what you can expect in the final video.
As you might guess, this redux is going to be somewhat... fleshed out, especially compared to the last.

Why am I doing this? Well, as much as you might think I'm just trying to get all the attention of IGAS with some kind of 'Notice me, senpai!' act, that's not the case here. Aside from wanting to actually do this one for a long time now, things have been a bit rough at this point in my life & I needed something to stop me going completely insane. That's how it started, and now it's actually turned into a fully fledged Voice Reel that will be the first of this series' new format (It was originally going to be Joker from Batman Beyond, until Warner Bros. came down with the copyright hammer... Kinda sad & pathetic, considering I don't make any money off this stuff, but oh no I'm a thief & must be punished...)
Anyway, despite whatever reason you may think I have for wanting to do this, I hope you enjoy this preview. A lot of work has gone into this stuff so far & I hope it shows.

Let me know what you think. I'd be lying through my teeth if I said I wasn't nervous about what you think & I know this probably won't be too popular with everyone, but I felt it's worth showing what I've been working on.

EDIT: Yes I know some of the effects are screwed for this video, because both my brain & my editing softtware go hand in hand at PISSING ME OFF!... *ahem* So yeah, it's not perfect. Sorry 'bout that.

That was actually really good.. I think the first line was better than the second.
Much better than the god awful voice we have for Leon now since RE4 (RE2'S V.A was better IMO)

I reckon IGAS should consider you for Leon's speaking part
"I never thought any of this stuff my brother taught me would work!"

They were shown the original version & my name was put down as a possible candidate. However, one thing that seemed to bother everyone was the sound quality. I have a feeling that if they really do have use for me, I'll have to once again step up my game & get an even better mic than the one I've got now.
As said though, if anything this is being done for my own reasons, so I'm not holding my breath for much of a positive response from everyone. This is more me just doing my own thing & adding my own twist to it. I doubt it would be considered something like headcanon material, but that doesn't mean I'm not proud of it. Hopefully when you see the final version, you'll be able to see how much work was accomplished with it.

Just for the record as well, I know that not many people like the new Leon voices, but I found that was one of the only redeeming features of RE6. Matt Mercer is actually a huge inspiration of mine, since it was also his creative skills that helped shape me into the kind of content creator I am nowadays. It's fine that you don't like that voice, but I would like you to know that he definitely had a hand in making the performance you see.

Much obliged Capcom made it super easy for some parts, but ridiculously frustrating for others. That sound design is just... Weird.
