I know it's probably impossible (and insane) but, is it posssible to mod RE4 in way to make it multiplayer?

That would be awesome... Mercenaries was the best way to do a multiplayer in RE4. It's a shame taht Capcom didn't took the chance (I imagine something like Goldeneye Rogue Agent but in a mercenaries way)
