Ive signed the petition, although personally i dont think there is a big chance of RE5 being released on the Wii. However there is hope.
When Oblivion was released its makers stated that the Wii could never handle it and it wouldnt be released on that platform. However this week they have announced that they would be retooling the engine to work on the Wii.
The Wii has had such great success that a lot of companies are trying to figure out ways to get their games onto the console. Capcom will likely be no different. Whether this means RE5 is released on the Wii who knows, but at least there is hope.
As for the petition, internet petitions are a dime a dozen. If you really want to make an impact get people to send in letters. A list of 17000 names can be easily ignored, 17000 letters turning up at head office has a much bigger impact.
