lol yea, sometimes i just watch the movie for free ya know? tvlinks so i don't bother paying whatever for it, although it is in bad quality. i hate it when i spend $10 on crap

it'd be annoying if it's a good movie that they start making noise about, like when i went to see 300 they started making all this noise it was annoying. i liked 300 btw

Well, the whole reason for the second and third movies failure is fairly simple...Alice. Allow me to explain. The first movie was...underwhelming. The fact more people died via lazer beams than the undead was particularly offensive to me. However, it did stay true to the games. The Hive was never mentioned in the games, true, but it would have made sense to have some kind of extra on the Birkin lab. It simply wasn't big enough to do it's job, really. The explanation for the Lickers and Black Lickers wasn't great, but did fit with what we knew. The actual cause of the outbreak didn't gel, but otherwise the movie could have been inserted into the game storyline. It wasn't very good...but it wasn't offensive unto the eyes either.

Sadly, Anderson then got what, in writting communities, is refered to as Mary Sueism. It is a hideous disease. Anyone who had read fanfiction will, in the end, know what I'm talking about. A Mary Sue is character that is, for one reason or another, forced into a pre-exsisting story, supplanting cannon characters and often getting an increased load of special abilities and powers. Sound familiar? The people who write that crap are, one and all, regarded as 13 year old teens creating there own jerk-off material. And, as can be plainly seen, Anderson is one of them.

Or a zombie. Since the only person who could make the second movie had to have his brains rotting out his ears.

ah i see what you mean, those out of story characters. i hate it when they just throw some random character in the mix and call it a fanfic : /

people argue that the re movies would be boring if it went too linear to the game, but i dunno not everyone's played re. besides what can you do about it now, remake the movies in like 10 years?

...well, we could kill the guy behind them. That wouldn't do much good but it would make me feel better. Besides, as I said, the man's a zombie. We'd be stopping the zombies!

At this point, really, the movie franchise is a loss creativily but a success financially. I think we all know what's more important to the higher ups. Anderson may well get a fourth movie, although the dark lords alone know what he'll do in it. Possibly Alice will rape a Tyrant.

Rebecca will be a character and it will have 10 whole minuets of bugspray.

Oh and Alice gets lazer beam eyes. while we get more phony wesker.

Thank you Darkmoon. That's exactly the way I've always described the RE movies; Sue infested fanfics written by 11 year olds.

And I've read a few of those.

when i was in the theater a lot of people behind me were complaining that they wanted to see more action at the quiet parts of the movie. so i thought to myself the audience probably watches it because it's action packed instead of having a good storyline. or maybe it was just those idiots sitting behind me.

Me and Iceddz watched it yesterday. I liked it, even though, why kill the whole earth? So now the virus effects plant life, so the whole earth becomes a desert. I don't think it can effect weather, so when you see the entire earth as yellow, I'm sure its still going to rain in england and in the northeast USA.

I like how alice's powers grow at a geometric rate.

I also like how all of the water magically disappears. Even if lakes and rivers dried up, it would be flooding somewhere else. The stupid writers don't understand the water cycle.

if all that stuff really was a dessert they're all gonna die pretty soon, i didn't understand how they made some magical sphere of water to contain alice in.. why didn't they just put her in a glass case like a normal experiment

you know what that reminded me of? blitzball from final fantasy x, in the next one they should have alice and wesker doing blitzball. too bad carlos died he would've been a good player

I think the major problem was the critical reviews of the first movie's lack of characters from the game. They clearly went ahead and threw in some recognised names and went from there. As a direct result they threw Alice. a copy of RE3 and some recognised shots from Code Veronica into a blender shat on it and under the trance like state brought about by consuming the resulting mix proceeded to write the second and third movies.

As a stand alone film the first one was acceptable, personally I was satisfied by the ending with Matt as Nemesis and so on but now that it part of a three (god forbid four) piece series we must disregard it's existence as a cash-in. If the second movie had run in parallel to RE3 with maybe some Outbreak cast in attendance I would've been far more satisfied. Not only at the inclusion of some RE characters but at them not messing with the canon. As soon as I saw a picture of Nicholi that was it for me. Extinction only served as a vehicle for Milla and a means to dig an even deeper hole for Anderson to get stuck in than the second one did . . .

There is a small possibility of a fourth film, note the Extinction website no longer says it's the last in the series. I would love another film, but i'd rather it focused on Claire and her group getting to Antarctica, then the obvious plot line would be from CV (and perhaps introduce Chris)
