better late then never, saw the movie last tuesday, ok the ending was poor, i don't want to see 1000's of alices running up to weskers door, wanting to fight. plus where's jill, my girl friend loves jill in the game and and didn't mind the movie version, so was sad to see her not in the 3rd. i think the movies are alright, worth watching once or twice a year. wesker needs to get those super powers soon because his weight will slow him down against alice. the super zombiles were gd, but how the hell did they come out of that box, you could see into half of it and it was empty, so all 30 of them were squshed up to one corner or somthing, talk about being smart and planning a surprise attack. BEST SCENE EVER was when they were teaching the old zombile how to use the phone and cam etc, i lov his face when he's doing the things right lol,and why give him such a hard task to do at the end, they should of given him a peice of paper and told to write down a 100 things silly with the storyline of this film that hes in

Also, even though Wesker have super powers, we only saw them several times in Code Veronica (mostly him beating Claire or Chris); and still first form of Alexia could beat crap out of him (DC version needs no comment; in PS2/NGC version Wesker tries to fight with her, but in the end he run away).
I'm going to see the movie today. I really hope that at least this movie could be better than Apocalypse. But I doubt it will be better than the first one (which actually had atmosphere, good characters and was a little scary).

I recently re-watched the 1st 2 films on dvd with the intention of going and seeing the new one but something came up and I didn't get around to it.
Now I'm thinking I'll probably just wait for it to come out on blue-ray and I'll see it at home in 1080p (it wont take long before it does).
Since I'm sitting here, at my puta, a bit tipsy... I'll give my views on the 1st 2 movies:
I was very disappointed with the 1st film. My 'main' beef was the zombies. I mean, it's essentially a zombie flick and the zombies looked crap. Compare it to 'Day of the Dead' (probably the best zombie make-up effects ever) that was made Soooo many years ago. Why, with all the advances in technology do the zombies look so piss weak? There were many other things that bothered me... the licker looked okay but when it attacked the traitor dude near the end, why wasn't he torn to shreds? Instead he was shown after the attack with a bit of blood on him and we were told that the creature had 'fed' and now it would grow and mutate. There were some genuine RE elements that stopped it from being a total disaster of a film but overall, meh...
I went to the cinema to see the 2nd film with the lowest of expectations and I was pleasantly surprised. I actually enjoyed it. The Nemesis was pretty cool, I thought. Especially his first few scenes. Yes, it was quite comical but it reminded me of an old, obscure film called 'Raw Head Rex'. I even found myself enjoying the ridiculous hand to hand combat between the Nemesis and Alice. But it sucked when he became 'good'. The lickers in the church were also very cool.
Sienna Guillory was a fantastic Jill, she really stole the show I thought (Grrrrr). I was very disappointed to read that she wasn't to appear in the 3rd film (but who could blame her?).
From the previews I've seen it looks like the 3rd film could be the best (not really a grand title to own). It at least looks like it's a bit gorier...
I think it's a damn shame that the REAL story of RE was treated with such disrespect. It's just a series of films that include a few characters and creatures from the games and completely disregards the real plot.
The Silent Hill film was done so much better. It really captured the look and atmosphere of the games. It even inspired me to go back and play the games again. Jurasic Park 3 had the same effect on me. I remember watching it at a friend's house and I had the sudden desire to go home and blast some dinosaurs on Dino Crisis 2.
As much as I WANT to like the RE films, the horrible truth is that the're a stupid embarrassment to the franchise. They probably do more harm than good.
What a terrible waste of an opportunity! They spent millions & millions of $ on those films...
