How can you have shooter fun with survivor? That's the only RE game I finished once and said 'Never again'. Nevr finished survivor 2. Really liked the mechanics in dead aim (story was a bit meh) and havent played Gaiden.
I'm gonna call CV on December 26th. Not sure if this is when Claire was captured or the events on the island/antarctica unfolded. I'm living in Japan ATM, and have picked up alot of guidebooks, which have promo shots and stuff in them. How canon is it? Thats for you to decide. But I'm happy to accept it as opposed to an unknown date. I'll try find it again and get a pic soon.
Here's the book you'll need.
Biohazard Code: Veronica Offical Guide Book
For anyone doubting it's official-ness, the front cover (under the jacket)
On the top corner of nearly every page it reads
"BIOHAZARD CODE: Veronica
ROCKFORT PRISON/ ANTARCTIC TRANSPORT
27.DECENBER.1998"
The spelling mistake is theirs. But still, I'm happy to use this date as opposed to some unknown date in December.
I don't have a scanner, only a digital camera. I picked a page with decent contrast of the lettering. The camera doesn't photograph up close too well, but thats what I could come out with. Anyone else with the book can verify this very easily.
As for interpreting the date. I'm going to guess the 27th is the Day Claire and Steve travel between the prison and Antarctica. I'm not an expert on the chronology of CV, it's one of my least favourites. But is it possible to infer from this when Claire was captured, and when Chris was at Rockfort Island?
I don't know, I play it with the GunCon and i have fun...
I liked that game too (I thought maybe I was the only one). I was actually kinda obsessed with it at one stage. I played it slowly one day with some graph paper and mapped out the entire game... then later found the strategy guide that has all the maps!
It's hardly a masterpiece but it was fun and it looks and feels like a real RE game.
