"End of the Road"
Linda - An Umbrella researcher who returns to the corporation's branch in Raccoon City to retrieve a vaccine sample. Failing to do so after the Tyrant's attack, she is later mistaken for a zombie and shot in the leg by Arnold.

The fifth scenario can only be unlocked after completing the other four. This is the longest scenario. It takes place in an Umbrella Laboratory, and features four Npcs Carter, Linda, Rodriguez and Arnold. After the beginning FMV, showing David saving Carter from a rogue zombie, a system lockdown occurs and the player must then find a way out. Linda has found a vaccine that can stop the T-Virus from growing. Within the Umbrella Lab lies the Tyrant, a Bio-weapon made by Umbrella, which Carter soon finds and reprograms to fight the 'Hunters'.

Just in case however, Carter has a switch that will blow the Tyrant's internal bomb if some thing were to go wrong. Once the player reaches a set goal, Tyrant recovers from the reprogramming. He kills Carter and knocks the detonation switch down an elevator shaft. The player can retrieve it later when descending into the waterworks.

Depending on the course taken, the player may either escape on a helicopter or fight the monstrosity, Nyx. Linda must also be saved in order to receive a 'good' ending.

John was an civilian taking shelter in the RPD that aides Elza. No connection to the John that died in the mansion after turning into a zombie. He survives all the way through the game, and can escape alive with Elza at the end. He was remade into Robert Kendo in final BH2.


Linda was Ada's name in 1.5. Her story in 1.5 is unknown, though she appears to be some kind of researcher or hospital employee. Whether she is a spy or not is unknown. 1.5 character information and story is something we just don't have enough info of without the game. Linda also survives throughout the game, and can escape alive with Leon at the end.


Roy is this guy:

He just seems to be a wounded police officer, probably taking on a similar role to what Marvin did in the final BH2. We originally thought his name was DJ because the Japanese kana for Roy looks like a D and J when written sloppily.

I was gonna say, the one cop was another rookie like leon which s DJ or Roy...To bad he didnt make it in the final version, would have been cooler with more interactions of more characters.

Alzaire how do you know that certain characters survive throughout the game?

Confirmed by Inflames's old source who had the final beta. It played like BH1 in that depending on choices and actions you make, Marvin and/or Linda could live/die in the end, and John could live/die in Elza's scenario. So basically, you could survive as just Leon, Leon/Linda, Leon/Marvin, Leon/Linda/Marvin. And Elza was Elza/Sherry or Elza/John/Sherry.

Probably why he got dumped from RE2. I know I keep think it's Leon in some of the pictures.

Have to agree there, hoping someone with half a braincell dumps the game in the internet anyway, but is the gave even playable? I mean is the structure of the game coherant enough to play through it in the beta or is it just like what we suppose the 3.5 beta was, just a series of rooms clumped together etc.

Final beta was 80% complete, fully playable. Though it may have some bugs and glitches still obviously, and such, but it's all there except for FMV.

This build that surfaced recently from PSM and such probably has all the rooms there, but being from Nov/Dec ~50% or so, probably more likely that some areas may be bugged pretty good, or key items not placed and have to room jump around. But I'd bet all the backgrounds are there, though a lot of them are probably unfinished.
