Call me old fashioned, but infinite ammo makes the game easy and for me personally if a game is too easy, its no fun.

I have Biohazard 2 on dreamcast. with nightmare mode, it takes more than 5 shotgun shells to kill a zombie!! and you only get bitttne twice and the game is over!!

If you have the shotgun, shoot the zombies in the head, saves a lot of ammo and makes things that little bit less compicated.

me was playing with claire i like playing with leon more than claire because he has my favorite weapons claire on the other hand her weapons r not effective enough espically on nightmare mode there are groups of zombies and they eat my grenade launcher shots like nothing so yeah claire's weapons suck big time

Try aiming up with the grenade launcher, never know, might get lucky.

Testing this morning - Brad = 7 Grenade rounds. 26 Handgun rounds too (Claires gun, no headshot). I'll do more experiments on nightmare Brad. But I LOVE nightmare mode. Claire has it soo much tougher than Leon but. ClaireA was challenging, but LeonB was nothing to write home about. Headshots on the shotgun make it all easy. A big prob I had was on Wiliam G4, because I had grenade rounds which scatter. So for dmg I had to get to close range and would die. So I loaded a save and used the handgun on William G2, and then the grenade rounds in the lab, so I had flame rounds to beat G3-G4 with, becuase they don't scatter as they fire.

S ranking the game on nightmare doesn't actually give you infinte ammo. It just gives you a code to unlock it. It's on gameFAQs for those who CBB. It does make the game very easy, but it's fun for experimenting on Brad with >: )

Some tips on beating it: Dont shoot zombies with the handgun as they get up and fall down, because you can't headshot them (which is how I kill 90% of zombies in nighmare).
Don't exit and leave a room without killing a zombie that you want to kill, after investing ammo in it. It's HP will restore.
Try and make them lunge for your legs for a free kill too.
Walk past lickers. The only lickers I kill are the one on the 3F balcony, and one in the labs (the first one that drops out the vent). The rest can be dodged.
Don't use auto on Leons UG'd pistol (if you up it). Because the first round can headshot, and then 2 and 3 will be wasted.

IIRC when you upgrade a gun, you don't get ammo in it in nightmare.

Never tried Nightmare mode, might have to give the game a shot.
Is this mode only on Dreamcast? *don't have the game on DC, only got RE3 but I hated the port so I stuck to the PS1 version*, is the mode DC Specific or is it on the GC version too?

As far as I am aware, nightmare mode is available on the Dreamcast and PC versions, not sure about any other versions though.
