  • RE2 PAL 60htz

Im considering picking up RE2 PAL version on the DC on the cheap, however I need to know if it has a 60htz option or not as im getting back into speed running to kill some time.
If anyone knows if RE3 PAL has the same it'd be a great help.

    Thanks.

Both PAL RE2 and RE3 had the 60hz options, the only one that didn't was Code Veronica

60hz = 30 frames per second. Basically, 50hz (which is PAL) is 25fps, which is slower than 60hz.

60HZ is the stting of a USA tv. I know a lot of Capcom games have this as I have the Pal versions of DMC3 and Onimusha 3.

            Yeah, thanks btw.
Thinking on it most DC PAL games had 60htz, it was only with the PS2 capcom didn't bother till the outcry following DMC1's release as it was horrendously slow compared to the US version.

^ And Onimusha. And both titles had some of the worst black borders I'd seen since Sega released DaytonaUSA on the Saturn.

True, all PS2 capcom games sucked before Marvel VS Capcom 2 and Maximo

THen again PAL saturn was a royal joke anyway, I modded mine to get Castlevania: Nocturne in the Moonlight on the console as well as Marvel Superheroes vs Streetfighter as the PS versions sucked.

As for Onimusha, I bought it pre-owned and traded it on the same day after finishing it, waited till Genma Onimusha to come out before I purchased my own copy.

The sad fact is actually the first Capcom PS2 game to offer a 60HZ option in Europe was Dino Stalker. Crappy Gun Survivor 3 gets full workover, but Devil May Cry doesn't... not only that when they finally re-released DMC they also didn't fix it.

                      DMC for the win!

                      LOL

Correction, I own Dino Stalker - It's not the worst game, but by comparison... well, you know.
