Brad is a zombie before Jill leaves the police station. His body is gone and IIRC the pool of blood still is. So he goes walkabouts for a whole day before RE2

Wait! so that means no matter what you you did as the player, Jill was in the R.P.D for at least 2 hours on the 28th of Sept. 1998. ...playing the game, I was hoping that she would've ran into Irons at some point, but the R.P.D. section was rather disspointing. No survivors, etc.

Isn't Jill infected overnight? I'll have to play again to check.
Then again, look at the opening movie for RE2, the truck driver that gets bitten, how much time elapsed from when he was bitten till he's right behind Leon & Claire, clearly a zombie at this stage, and out of control...
Which makes' you wonder...how long did it take to get from the outskirts of Raccoon to the R.P.D. ?????
For those who remember the scene of the "EARLY" appearance of a police cruiser in Outbreak's "DT" scenario, with a reference made to a "rookie"...involving Marvin.(training) ..err..how long "did" it take them to make it to the R.P.D.??? ...maybe more than what we think, possibly???
EDIT: In other words, possibly quite the ordeal...taken them from a time frame "into" the 29th, perhaps??? ...which would've set it up rather nicely!
But, not likely, as Jill entered the R.P.D. during 'daylight' of the 28th...exited during the 'night' of the 28th...which screws that up royally...ugh!..thank you Capcom.Last edited by Evil_Rob; 12-02-2007, 04:04 AM.

Alright, you've officially confused me. It was 84 hours before Jill woke up after Nemesis infected her, and she still wasn't a zombie, or showing any signs of infection apart from feeling no pain. According to RE1, your flesh start falling off, intelligence starts deteriorating, and you become hungry for human flesh (or dog food, as the researcher put it :p ).
I think it'd take about 5 days for the T-Virus to take full effect, at the rate Jill's going.

The T-virus is based on the persons immune system, how resistent he/she is to it, how strong the infection was.
Thats why the keeper took so long because it was just 1 small leech that did it. While on the train the passengers were infected by 10-40 leeches so they turned faster.
Thats why a weakling like brad turns in an hour while jill lasts several days.
That also explains how raccoon city happened. the infected rats infected the citizens causing them to get sick due to the low dosage but turn into zombies a few days later.
I also think that how fast you turn depends on if you die while infected. You will probably turn into a zombie even if you are alive. But if you die while infected you come back unless your brain has suffered massive damage.

doesn't the effect rate depend on the hosts body. Just like how diffrent ppl deal with colds, others can get over one at a faster rate then others etc. the truck driver in r.e 2 might of gone on a long ride around town looking for a hospital, which could of taken a hour or two then decided he had to get back to his job and take that petrol back to wherever, then he turned and met leon and clarie

It might also be affected by the dose of virus, the area infected and the type of virus. Brad got a massive dose of T-Vrius (I'm pretty sure Nemesis is a T-Virus monster) right to the brain stem. Clearly it doesn't sever his spine but equally clearly it has an effect. After all, Brad is far, far stronger than a normal zombie. It might also have sped up his rengeration. After all, a bigger dose of the G-Virus did some interesting things to Birkin.
Or some other zombies dragged his carcass off to eat him.
As for other zombies, the time difference is probably something similar. A G-virus zombie would likely reanimate faster than one that was infected by the T-Virus. And whether the bite hits a major vein or artery.
So...Jill got lucky and got a small doze in a minor wound that luckily didn't hit any major blood vessels, and probably it was the T-Virus (or Veronica virus...or something. I always forget how they build Nemesis' body.) Truck driver got a bite that knicked a major vein (he bled like a pig) and got a generous dose of G-Virus rushing to his brain.
Of course, this is me rambling when half asleep. Hence the unusually bad spelling, even by my standards.

I forget the whole proceedure, but first you had a regular mass-produced T-virus Tyrant, then NE-a or Nemesis was injected in the Tyrant's spinal cord. Which fed on the T-virus which then spread throughout its body or system, something like that.
Sure someone else can do a much better job explaining it than I can.

Nemesis is based on a Tyrant, and if all tyrants are clones of Sergei, then as a consequence it's true. Resident Evil Archives even lists Nemesis as 'Nemesis T-Type', then goes into his creation from a Tyrant base. I really don't know where people got the mis-information that he's a G-virus creation, but I'd like to know.
RE: the truck driver. I blame his losing control of the truck to massive blood loss, not actually being a zombie. We never actually see him as a zombie. Infact he may never have been a zombie. He wouldn't have survived that crash.
The fastest non-zombie to zombie I can think of is Will in Outbreak. You see him bitten, and he then gets up to attack you within in minutes. Anyone think of any faster?Last edited by TheSelfishGene; 12-02-2007, 11:55 PM.sigpic
