  • I see, thanks alot, I'll try them out later.
For now, I was wondering, is it possible to transfer codes from NGC to PS2? I need that Walk through walls code...I want to see if I can find anything "BETA" outside the map, and to just mess around with it. ;P

EDIT: By the way, as of today, that site won't let me view it anymore. ;P
I could yesterday...They must have added it so you HAVE to join today...

The formula I came up with for that is

Gamecube PAL AR Code converted to RAW with GCNcrypt
      Player Costume Modifier
068270AC 18000000 - Always ignore the top line of a AR RAW code as they are just AR identifier's.
      002899D5 0000000X

      PS2 RAW code
      0042DD0B 0000000X

      eg: 0042DD0B - 002899D5 = 1A4336

So PAL GC RAW code + 1A4336 = PAL PS2 RAW Code

The problem is when you come to a code like this

GC - Infinite Arrow, Grenade & Egg Usage (Jay007)
      0401B228 38090000

PS2 - Infinite Arrow, Grenade & Egg Usage
      2011F0A0 00000000
If he had a brain, he'd be dangerous.

        • Corrected codes for PAL use fully tested and found to be working 100%

Hold L2 to temporarily holt enemy attacks, release to allow enemy attacks.
          D0431224 00000080
          0042DD75 0000009D

Hold R1 to temporarily holt enemy attacks, release to allow enemy attacks.
          D0431224 00000020
          0042DD75 0000009D

          Level of censorship
          004311E9 0000000X

          0 = JP
          1 = EU
          2 = US

eg: Whilst using 004311E9 00000000 your head won't be decapitated by Dr. Salvador. I'm not sure what other things where censored in the japan release or if the US or EU releases differ at all.

          • What's the difference between EU and US censorship, I thought they were the same? ;P
            And what's...this?
it does not break off (L3)
            XD

I dunno I couldn't get the "it does not break off (L3)" to work i'm guessing it means that when an enemy grabs you they continue to keep grabbing you instead of throwing you to the ground.

              Use the corrected codes ;-)

At moment i'm looking for the missing weapon modifier values for the following

              0042DD02 000000XX
              Hunk / Custom TMP
              Zealot / Flaming Bowgun Bolts
              Ada / Bowgun-powder bolts
              Zealot / Shield
              Bella Sisters / Chainsaw
              Dr. Salvador / Chainsaw
              Don Manuel / Spade
              Maria / Knife
Don Diego, Don Diego / Sickle
              Zealot / Scythe
              Soldier / dynamite
              Soldier / stun-rod
              Soldier / hammer
              J.J / gatling gun
              Wesker - Silenced Handgun
Rifle used to shoot Ada in separate ways with a tranquilizer dart - I thinks it's 15 or 18 it has a black sphere near the trigger.
              Special Red Rocket Launcher
Black Rocket Launcher used to shoot down Mike's helicopter, I think from memory it was used then and only at that point in the game.

I hope so, the only one I've found so far is that tranquilizer dart rifle.

Well, the RDT files contain everything for the game engine to deal with a room (camera angles, doors, walls, enemies, pickables items, etc...). I would like to find other people interested in reverse engineering RE games (mostly 1 through 3 for me, as they all have a similar engine).

                      • Wait, wouldn't there be the same effect as other characters, Kevstah?
I mean, Ada trying to use the handgun = phail.
I mean, wouldn't the game crash trying to load an enemies weapon?

I heard you can combine character codes so they get others powers and the weapons don't crash.

Does this mean we'll be able to order Ashley around if we mix Leon with Ada/Krauser/Ashley/Wesker?!
                            GREAT DISCOVERY!

EDIT: I used the Ashley and Leon code from the custom character codes you posted before, and the game crashed on the first cutscene...I'll try loading a save and see what the results come out as.

You might want to try to talk to Enrico Marini, I think he's made heads from tales already for some of the 3D model related formats.
Markgrass has also poked around quite a bit so he's also rather knowledgable about some of the formats (such as the RTD), but I think he's taking a break from the internet "for now" (See front page news for more info). Maybe if you're lucky, you could use some of his tools, notes and/or source code.

I know that "Gemini" showed interest in digging around 1.5 if it would ever fall into the hands of the public. I don't know what interest he's got in the series in general, but at least he's pretty much a monster when it comes to hacking several platforms into bits'n pieces. I'm fairly certain IF he would join a project, he'd be a valuable asset in many ways.
