Oh sorry! I took this off topic um....what is the worst resident evil game? I would say Gaiden. Alot of people would say the Outbreak series and although it is very mediocre, the idea behind it, a multiplayer Biohazard, was awesome. I quite enjoyed Outbreak file #1. Don't crucify me for saying this but...I wish there would be another Outbreak sequel.

What's worse is, Capcom scrapped Biohazard for the gameboy in exchange for Biohazard Gaiden. Thankfully, Wikipedia notes that "As the word Gaiden suggests, the game is not canonical to the main series."

You seem like a cool person Belmont. We both want the original Biohazard 2 (called 1.5). Somehow Gaiden got approved for release by Capcom and 1.5 didn't. LULZ

I'm sure there is a lot of politics involved in 1.5. If you consider most of the excuses they use none of them make sense, really. For example, they've used just about every element in 1.5 in other Resident Evil games at one point or another. I've always felt it was more of a case of, "Well...that looks OK...but this will be better. And because mine is better we will never speak of yours again."

I still can't see any redeaming features of Gaiden. RE4, even though it failed in bringing the most basic part of Resident Evil (fear) was still an excellent enough game for me to own two copies of it. Gaiden, though, failed in every way.

Graphics: Well, it was a gameboy game...but compare it to the unreleased gameboy color version. Or resident evil 2 advanced. Either destroys it. All the monster look the same, mostly, too. As do the levels. So...failed.

Fear: A big part of RE. Am I afraid I'm going to miss the little thing that tells me when to fire? Not really, because I don't give a crap if Barry and Leon get eaten. And I don't care if I don't get futher. Also, complete lack of scary monsters and the worst they managed was zombies diving out arches. So...failed.

Gameplay: There are about a hundred better ways for the fighting system that the timing bar thing they had. I remember a Jurrasic Park game that sometimes switched to 3d. Just do that for each fight (so the background always looks the same...it does anyway) and allow some actual fun. Failed. Dismally.

Storyline: It's not even canon, it was so bad. Failed.

Seems to be down at the moment, but their goal is to eliminate every trace of Shaq Fu off the face of the Earth. Maybe give them an idea for their next project?

Also, TSG, I found Gaiden in about thirty seconds. It's not hard to get the ROM at all Remember to also get VisualBoy Advance so you can play it.

Worst RE game i've played...i don't want to be predictable and go with Gaiden, because it was good for the platform it was on, or to go with a spin-off when we know they're mostly rubbish anyway...

So i'll go with CVX. It's annoying, and in my opinion attributed to poor game design when you get to the final boss and you're left with no ammo at all. Of course you could also put it down to the player's skill level, but a lot of seasoned gamers do complain about this as well.

I didn't mean the forum. I meant he can stop buying the games. Everything revolves around sales. RE4 sold well and appealed to a wider audience, which brought hundreds of people into the resident evil series. Saving the franchise from certain doom. Yeah its a bad game.

Also I'd like to point out how I'm accused of "flaming" just because I talk about liking RE4. And this isn't flaming. Flaming includes more cuss words, personal insults, and caps lock.

I think RE4 is scarier than RECV. It is scarier than Survivor. It's scarier than RE2.
