    This is a joke, right?

EDIT: Sorry, the laughing was a bit too much. But c'mon, do you really think that CAPCOM would say "Sure! Here ya go! BTW, we only accept cashier's checks"

As my amused comrades have pointed out, Capcom have had many offers like this. Some for significantly more. Some to develope the game and finish it for them so it can be released. Some for simply a video walkthrough of both games.

Capcom feels this game was wrong for Resident Evil and would have destroyed the series. Given that almost every element in 1.5 has since been used in other RE games that seems unlikely, and obviously we feel differently, but that's there opinion. They deem it a failure and refuse to release it under any circumstances.

If you must try, and I really wouldn't bother myself, the first thing you'll need to do is translate your offer into Japanese. The American branch doesn't even have a copy. Once you manage to find some junior manager to send it to then simply wait. However, from what I hear even raising 1.5 with some of the folk at Capcom earns cold, cold looks. They really don't like it.

It seems contradictious to me as capcom previously handed out Biohazard 1.5 to employees of capcom, yet they wont sell it should someone make an offer. So it doesnt seem like a "dont want to risk it getting out" situation to me. I think one should keep trying to get Biohazard 1.5. I will.

Or one could ask Wesker to get it. "Remember Ada, the Biohazard 1.5 disc is required".

"You've proven your usefulness to us. It's in our best interests that you survive. There are two things you need to know. First, in seconds Raccoon City is going to be destroyed by a missile. Secondly, an Umbrella Executive will be leaving town on a helicopter. If you're not on it, there will be no way to leave Raccoon City. Do you understand?"

What we need is for Oprah to hear our story...she has the money to buy the disc, Capcom, and still have enough left to buy Japan itself after lunch.

                XD

Dot50 could be our representative. All he has to do it to cry on national TV in order to make Oprah buy it for us. She'd probably even give everyone here on THIA a free home theatre system so we can all "enjoy the game."

Nah, I think you either need to get into dialog with Dr.Phil and send him as the representative, or even better, just get those creepy guys who re-do your house for you come over, re-do your house and then reveal their big "Resident Evil"-fan w/new house special treat (which somehow then mysteriously would be RE1.5 material). I mean, I've seen those people in those shows pull out the most amazing obscurities as little "extra treats".

I always had a feeling that there was something more behind the cancellation of this version. Maybe some of the original RE2 staff are still bitter because of Shinji's decision to remake it (I know I would be, after working almost a year on something just to start all over again)? Anyway, just a guess.
Does anyone know the real truth behind this story?

that is alot to offer, i'd make you 1.5, but it'll be a basic version, give me some time and you can buy it off me . the most i'd offer would be around £500 - £600 and that's leaving me with nothing.

If I were doing this, I would start off with small, laughable offers, than to keep sending offers, one after another, larger and larger before sending a vehement letter with your final grand offer.
Who knows, they might eventually sell it just to get you off their back.
