and they didn't even give us the server code so we can make our own server for it.

Why would they? I'm sorry, but this was going to happen, In UK, the only online Resident Evil, was File #2, they taken them down, and that was it, no Online for PAL, but File #1 was still online in USA, untill now, and in Japan they have their own Capcom servers, and guess what? You have to pay-to-play, thats Capcom.

P.S It would be good if someone had hacking knowledge, and hacked Outbreak 1 & 2, find out how the servers connect, create a patch so we can change our Disks Server, and connect to a fan made one made for THIA, Gamefaqs, Neoseeker, Bioflames, etc...
    That would be awesome.

Did Biohazard Outbreak always work online on the PS3 or just recently? I thought it didn't but I managed to quite far in the network play menus. I got past DNAS (after configuring auto dhcp settings on my virtual memory card, my PS3 uses it's own PPPoE wireless settings btw) and now I'm online on the ID web pages. Does anyone have any guides to signing up to the MMBB service?

Sorry, I got lost reading your technical talk and had trouble understanding your abbreviations... But are you saying that you might be able to play on the Japanese servers? That would be great!
It might also be difficult to pay for it (if it's like the Japanese PNS store).

But then you need a unmodded PS2, according to some guide, Outbreak checks for a modchip before you go online, and if you have one it stops you, I'll check that guide later.

Nah, my PS2 was chipped for the entire 3 and a half years of OB, never any problem playing online. It was that you couldn't use your backup disc for online play, had to use the retail disc.

What about with HD Loader v0.8c or swap magic with a patched WinDIP ISO or disc?

I think you can since I remember meeting someone online who was using a burned disk.

well i never played o.b online, but i did at a playstation 2 convention here in london back in 2003. I guess you dont miss what you never had, but i would love there to be an online mode in future r.e games. A hunk shooter online would be quite cool.
