OB American Servers finally down...

I enjoyed playing outbreak online. it was fun when you were with a good set of people, I don't mean skill wise, just personality wise.

Shame I never got to play file 1 online though.

They should really rerelease it some how so we can still play it. Would be nice if we could host our own server but I'd think it would be shutdown pretty quickly if the Japs are paying for their play.

I used to play file 2 online. Living in Australia, we got the PAL releases, so only #2 was online. But because Australia is such a tiny market, I used to have to connect to the European servers. But because of the huge time zone differences, if I wanted to play with other people, I'd have to play at about 3am onwards. So most of my time playing Outbreak online was very drunk coming home on a Sunday morning.

I mostly used it to get HEAPS of points to spend on unlockables (alot of times they had a 3x points area. So I'd just do showdown with No damage bonus)

They also sometimes had an infinite ammo area, which was great to unlock some of the costumes (Rita. Beat Desperate Times on Very Hard). NO idea how I'd do that without online mode. I kinda feel sorry for anyone playing them now... Having to try that with the AIs
