Anyway, I can't understand people who keep such things for themselves only. Would they feel happy to bring it to their grave or something?

That's just nonesense. It's just a "I have this and you don't have it" bullshit attitude.

Why dont people just give away cars? Even though I dont agree with what they do, I can 100% see why

Let's make them an offer they cannot refuse?

        How about that?

Yeah sure, lets throw our imaginary $4000 at a prototype but then add more money to that so they cannot refuse it! Yes! 1 Million dollars! Let me take a quick trip to my money tree. All for a Resident Evil 1 Beta. That makes total sense.

Maybe this beta will have special longer intro like the Sega Saturn, it makes sense that this longer version came from the beta version of biohazard & this special saturn version had extra weapons like the beta?

Ever played RE2 beta 2? Anyway, whether the live-action FMVs are in this beta depends on when they were shot. If they were shot early on in RE1's development then they're probably included in this beta, otherwise they're probably not. But even then, developers usually don't include FMVs during the development process in order to save time in burning, iirc (correct me if I'm wrong).

Sega Saturn version of Biohazard has the normal Biohazard intro...

                1) It's not longer.
                2) Who said it had extra weapons? The only things that anyone knows for certain about this beta is that it's not for sale, and it won't be released, so the rest doesn't really matter.
                3) Special Saturn Version??

We believe Chris26 is talking about some kinda Chinese fanmade version, but no one else has ever seen or heard of it in anyway, shape or form and he's been unable to find any evidence for it.

You sir are comparing a valueless beta version of a game that was released years ago to a practical tool. That is total nonsense.

I'm not even talking about the fact that those betas are just intellectual property and that they aren't even supposed to exist in those people hands. They have no rights about it.

But he is sorta right with the car thing, if the BETA is the one with Jill following, heck, probably even the FPS one, but I doubt that one. So it could not be all a useless beta we've seen before.

I am not saying it's useless, I'm collecting beta material about various games and it's one of my hobbies.

I'm just saying that it's in the interest of no one to have such thing locked up. It doesn't bring that person anything.

What I'm saying is that it's just a pointless and selfish attitude. I would understand it coming from someone who happens to have such thing as BH1.5, but for a beta 99.99% of people don't care about, hell no.

Eh. Well you have to take into consideration that they can get sued for releasing those kinds of things since all betas that leave a company are marked with identification info for who the beta was supposed to be given. Even if everyone was to "team up and make a large donation" that wouldn't really matter if the person simply >cannot< release the game since they're binded by a contract or something. Curator is kind of an exception though, since he's a butthole.

Value is in the eye of the beholder, isnt that how the saying goes?? Ive released the previously unreleased and unheard of Diablo on the Gameboy, so its not like I agree with the guy, its just I understand exactly where the people come from. They may have no rights, but the fact remains that they have it, and to someone, somewhere, it holds value, whether that someone is you or I, or that person that owns it.
