Extinction Confusion

Ok, i'll be the first to admit that Paul Anderson's BioHazard movies were shite, but they're part of the franchise so unfortunately we have to pay attention to them. I will admit my likeness for the first movie though.

IIRC, Milla commented that Extinction will be the last Bio-Movie, so anyone who sees Extinction can get confused by the ending...like myself. Someone brought it to my attention that it can make perfect sense - the movie is called Extinction, but at the end there's nothing but a small political Umbrella group, and then there's *xx amount* of Alices'.

Does this mean that in the end, Alice took out Umbrella, and there's noone left on Earth but Alice and all of her clones? I guess it would be obvious, but seriously, how much more shitty could these movies have got if Extinction wasn't decalred "the last"?

I'm pretty sure Paul Anderson ends all of his movies with a "To Be Continued..." cliffhanger, regardless of whether or not there's going to be a sequel.

There's also the possibility that, if there is a fourth movie, it would instead focus on Claire and what's left of her convoy as they head north. Maybe bring Chris into the mix. At least one of the entries in the journal Alice found was signed "CR." Granted, the owner of the journal was probably the person who hung themself in that gas station, but I suppose they could just say he lost it at some point.

I'd agree...except that Anderson has shown himself completely uncapable of doing anything other than cramming more Alice down our necks, at as high a volume as he can manage. Like that woman being killed in Phantasmagoria for you older players.

You just need to watch Apocolypse for a few minutes to realize no other characters will be allowed any sort of importance and relevance so long as Milla is willing to be Alice. And since she's banging him it's not too likely she'll say no.
