Resident Evil 2/3 2D (for real!)

As of today I have started work on what could turn out to be the 2D project that failed. For this I am planning on making a 2d Side Scrolling REmake of Resident Evil 2 (and possibly 3, I don't know, I've never played it). I don't know if this project will ever finish, but for now I'd like to post a screenshot of what there is right now. I spent the past two hours perfecting these sprites. Let me know if you have any Ideas for this project, or tell me if there's any way I can improve the sprites, anything you can think of. Well, here it is. Enjoy!

UPDATE: I have created a very basic Leon sprite as well as created movement with the left and right arrow keys.
