P.S. Who the hell is this guy, anyway? Has he reviewed other games at all? (And Commented some bullshit about them?)

      Exactly.

I'm still wondering exactly what the hell he's referring to when he's talking about imagery. Seriously. The only thing he referred to was that one guy who's like sitting in the shadows or something, and I'm still wondering how the hell one guy in the shade = "omg all black people are dangerous and must be killed".

We're talking about a company that can barely keep a story together or write a proper game script yet, he expects us to believe Capcom's a master of media techniques and conventions and they're secretly using perspective and camera angles to lure everyone into black hate.

Maybe it's just me though, since I never actively think how this camera angle or image conveys 'loneliness' or 'sadness' or that crap when looking at movies or artwork. I always figured those interpretations like that were for those "overly artistic" people who were into independent films. (If that were the case I don't see why they'd be interested in what is essential inspired from several B-movies...)

The way I see it is this: Would the game be fine if it was a black guy slaughtering white zombies? Or alright if the zombies were and main character were both the same colour? Of course, it shouldn't make any difference...unless...

Hey guys, brilliant idea! Segregation gaming! Clearly having white people and black people in a game is deeply, deeply racist. Therefore we must have two versions of all games...one where the main character and all the enemies are white, and on where they're black!

But of course we can't stop there. Books, TV shows, anime and manga...all must be made in two different ways now. It's the only way to stop this terrible racism of Japanese people saying white people are superior to black zombies.

              That makes sense.

Or...we could go out on a limb and say, when an outbreak of a virus that transforms people into monsters happens in Africa some of those people may, just may, be black.

Or how about we just combine the two colours and make everyone grey? That would work

I would be perfectly happy with that. In fact, everytime I play either of the Outbreak titles, I NEVER play as any the corny, "white" douchebags on there - It's always Mark for me. Not because we share the same "name", so to speak, but simply because I think he's got the best AI personality of them all. That, and he reminds me of Ving Rhames.

As I said in a previous statement, we're all human beings, NOT categorized minorities. None of us are "black", "white", etc. Period.

                  BIOHAZARD5 Non-negro edition
                  ...sickening.

Statements like that are the exact reason everyone is making a big deal about "race" in Bio5.

So this is about imagery this time, right? Specifically how they act "before" they are infected (yeah, right).

As Chris enters the village (from the second trailer), we can see he isn't attacked, but some of the populace look at him in menacing ways, while others ignore him and go about their daily lives (shit! Two black men conversing! RACIST!). I believe even the producer said Chris wont get attacked right away when he enters the village. Then in this latest footage from the Takeuci interview, we see Chris finds two infected villagers dragging an un-infected one into a house, where hes infected and attacks Chris (in the second trailer). This seems to be the point where all hell breaks loose and Chris is attacked by everyone. Eventually, all of the villagers are called away by something, since we see the town being desolate in the second trailer.

This is just like how RE4 opened, except you didn't have people still being infected, or the "zombies" having enough intelligence to hide the fact they are infected until the "outsider" became a threat. Suggesting that the people who were looking at him in menacing ways ARE infected.

I really wish N'gai would do his homework on stuff if hes going to throw bombs like this.

                    Also:

(give it about a minute til it gets to the relevant part)

Resident Evil 5 is racist as hell! Seriously, it is! I haven't seen one Asian zombie in the entire trailer. What, Asians can't be scary? Can you imagine having to deal with a zombie ninja? No? Thats what I thought.

THE ASIAN COMMUNITY MUST BAND TOGETHER TO PREVENT THIS GAME FROM BEING RELEASED UNLESS THERE ARE NINJA ZOMBIES FROM THE COUNTRY OF ASIA IN THIS GAME. I'm Linknumbers, and that is my opinion.

Are you forgetting what country the BioHazard games originate from? Yeah... So I suppose the people from Japan who made the BioHazard series are being racist against themselves for not including asian zombies? And to be quite specific, asian zombies make an appearance in the first BioHazard/Resident Evil film (eg, the elevator scene comes to mind). Also, keep in mind that there were African-American and Caucasion zombies, aswell.

Can you imagine having to deal with a zombie ninja?
No. Theoretically, if they were real, zombies would have little to no intelligence, whatsoever. However, I agree that a "Ninja Ganado" would be rather tough to defeat.

This whole "race" issue is exceedingly retarded. I give up.

Hey, it worked for House of the Dead 4. Of course, it has ninja zombie cyborgs.

Mark you do realize those statements for the last 2 ppl you replied to are most likely just sarcastic remarks making a joke out of the situation and don't really mean what they said right? XD

I'm sorry, Alzaire, but I don't consider anything said in this thread to be a joke.

People don't joke about "race", and i'll be damned if it starts happening around here.

I thought what I said was pretty funny. >.>

Of course, it had nothing to do with race whatsoever.
