The virus can be compatible with other people. Its just the "G-Type" can only "reproduce" with a host of similar DNA. Thats why Birkin went after sherry.
If you were infected you would go after your parents, siblings, or children.

Mark me if I'am wrong but Wescer does not need Sherry because of G-virus that is still stored in her DNA, because he has a pure sample of the virus that Ada gave to him. But it is possible that Ada's g-virus was actually not that good, because it was extracted from Birkins dead body and was changed to hard by his DNA. Anyway I think that this thing with Sherry is far more difficult than that. All will be revealed in RE5.

No Birkins remains where still alive otherwise she wouldnt have been able to take a good enough sample.
I know this is gonna be totally fr out there and i don't even know why im saying but imagine wesker and sherry's DNA wasn't all that different, i mean he worked in the labs alongside Birkin and Annette, Birkin was always deep in in his work so maybe Annette was looking for comfort elsewhere

LOL! Man you can expect anything from Wescer, and from developers But it looks more like a MGS story to me.
Besides Birkin would not chase Shery if she was not his daughter, and she would have died faster when he emplanted his G-embrio in her.

ha ha i just realized my idea cant be right cause if it was the new character in the movie then the game makers wouldnt have let them kill her so fast she would have stayed alive like clair did, but i also think that they made an ok/bad dicission on claires actor cause for one claire acts like a whimp in the games and is always soft but in the movie she was always acting like a badass compared to her character in the game xD

I didn't like claire's VA in the games cause it was the same as Jubliee in the X-men animated series. It just confuses me.

Sorry, I know it ruined those games for me when I found that out. The same goes for when I see the VA that is voicing the character, I can't get their image out of my head. The only good thing is since RE changes VA's like socks, we probably will get a new one for Claire if she is in another game.
