Both of Monica's escape plans didn't really make much sense. For one, she already knew that the train wouldn't work since she knew that the entire lab was frozen over. As for the turntable, she regularly uses it to go back to the city, which at that point was more BOW-infested than the labs, why the hell would she want to go back there? The "It's dangerous to go back" message you get when you try to go further down the train tunnel also didn't make much sense. How can there be any zombies there when it was a direct way out of the city? Wouldn't that mean that the zombies were able to get out of Raccoon then? :/

Well, if they could get to that place, then it goes to reason that whatever they were running from could make it there too. And depending on which direction they take, they could escape out the exit, or catch up with the survivors...

ok so The movie copied the RE2 escape scene with the train and named it Alexi 5000, I too had thought it was a tribute to Alexia, but its in outbreak...did outbreak come out before the movie or vise versa???

The train is called Galaxie 5000 in RE2 and in Outbreak. The movie messed up and called it Alexi 5000, thinking it was a reference to Alexia. But its not supposed to be, so its funny how stupid the creators of the movies are and how much the movies are inaccurate.

Well RE the movie is as a complete mess. It is an eksample of innacurate and stupid script comparing to the original. Damn I hate movies based on the games.

To be fair, the first movie wasn't too bad. It had inaccuracies but the explanation for the Licker's mutation and the Nemesis program were fine and the movie didn't break the canon of the games. As a horror movie it was an epic fail, since it had almost no actual horror. More people died to lazer beams than to zombies. But it didn't mess with the series.

And then came the visual abortion known as Apocolypse...

It didn't break cannon... But then RE0 came out, then REmake came out, then REoutbreak and Umbrella chronicles.

Actually it does break cannon from the start. The mansion doesn't have a giant train system connecting to Raccoon City. The hive is not that big. Redqueen does not control everything and is not a little girl.

It seems Capcom goes out of its way to make the movies not cannon.

...the Mansion? Who said anything about the Arklay Mansion in the first movie? Yeah, there is a Mansion, but there isn't anything to suggest it's Arklay, bar it has a similar feel. The Hive and the Red Queen weren't mentioned in the games at that point, but there wasn't anything to say they didn't exist either.

Then again, I don't recall any mention of a Hive in the games expect in Outbreak. And that's a hospital infected by leaches,

You're stretching it very very thin.

The mansion in the movie is the spencer mansion or else the movies are completely retarded and added a second one.

I refer to the Raccoon city facility as the Hive because it doesn't have a name really.

Umbrella Chronicles debunks the movie's RedQueen

The Raccoon facility was created in the outskirts of the city. Sherry says that her parents work in the Chemical plant in the outskirts of the city, thus that's where the lab must be located. According to most maps of Raccoon City, in the games, the RPD is in the center of the city. As you recall, in order to get to Birkin's Lab, you need to ride that tram some distance from the sewers to the construction yard entrance. This would imply that it was far from the center of the city.

In the movie, the "Hive" was directly underneath the city and appears to be in the center, so that would mean it would have to be a different facility.

The mansion in the movie is clearly not the same mansion because it doesn't follow RE1's floorplan at all. No rooms in the games are like the rooms in the movie or vice versa. It's a different mansion and yes, it is retarded.

I personally like to beleive that the movie simply happens in an alternate/parallel universe. This way nothing from the movies, affects the series in any way, and this gives the movie makes a creative license to take the movies where they want.
