Day of the Dead returns

Romero's script is more canonic if we speak about the characters(Chris, Jill...), but the main characters of this movie are Zombies. If you want a resemblanse remember his Land of the Dead.

Aren't they remaking his Day of the Dead like the Dawn of the Dead remake?

I loved day of the dead too. I like it more than the original Dawn.

The remake is out. It's straight to DVD and not related to the original, nor the Dawn of the Dead remake.

Really? I was gonna buy this the other day when I saw it , but it the back reminded me of Day of the Dead 2: Contagium which was a horrible horrible movie. If this is like the Dawn of the Dead remake, then I'll be happy

At least Ving Rhames is in it so it's not a total loss since you already know the role he'll play

The Day of the Dead remake is terrible. Worse than the Dawn Remake. (I didn't like)
But Day of the Dead is actually bad.
For one it stars Nick Cannon.
Second, the fast zombies can now climb walls like spiderman.

I liked all the movies. Sorry, but I think that you guys are too-hardcore fans of the series. Why not appreciate it as just another action movie? I enjoyed seeing another, more un-canon side of the characters I love, and I'm getting really fed up with all the shit that's put on the movies. Who cares about the planet drying up? It's part of the plot. Who cares that Alice couldn't sense the infected L.J? It's part of the plot. Who cares that Carlos got infected after being given the antivirus? It's part of the plot. Why can't you guys just appreciate it as a stupid, silly action movie? That's what all the movies are like nowadays, but I can still appreciate them and have fun.

My two cents.

Helegad...I hate to point this out but you say, yourself, that the movie is bloody awful. You have to write off half of what happens as part of the plot to even begin enjoying the movie. If huge portions of the plot and events are so random and stupid that you have to just shrug, say, 'It's part of the plot' and ignore then the movie has done something hideously wrong.

We can't enjoy it because it takes a game series and plot we enjoy, put if through a mangler and what comes out the otherside isn't a good representation of the games. It isn't even a good movie. It's badly written and badly thought out, with huge plot holes you, yourself, have admitted you have to ignore the watch the movie with any pleasure.

Just because it's got Resident Evil in the title doesn't mean I'm gonna enjoy it. You serve up shit and I ain't having none of it.

Damn, to many "Dead" in his scripts, Dawn, Day, Land... If the produsers would take his RE scenario it would be Resident evil of the Dead Anyway I was trying to say that Romero's script of RE wasn't better than the script of the Original movie. There were a lot of scenes fro the point of view of the Zombies and it appeared that they are one of the the main characters.

I just started reading the George A Romero script for Resi Evil. Man, Chris and Jill get a root in the first 5 minutes Oh well, I actually always imagined them as good partners. Really. I did.

LOL! True, I mean what can you expect from a person that made mortal combat movie? Only action. Anderson's RE movie was not that bad but on one condition - if you haven't played the games.
