QTE parts were made great in RE4 thats why I think its good they are in RE5. Anyway my favorite cinematic is Outbreak 1 intro, looks fantastic and there are Birkin, though he doesn't look right.

He looked quite lanky to me in that intro.

He looks more like his 2nd form but who knows, maybe at first he looked like that and without taking any damage just changed into more human form, or at first stages of his mutations he was able to shange his shape at will if the danger is close.

I know exactly what your talking about. He looks taller, and his right arm looks like it does in the G2 stage, and I think his hair was ginger in one scene... Here it is:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sb_buz-Gags

            Cool thread!
RE has always had GREAT cinematics. I know some people probably don't care about them but I've always looked forward to seeing them. To me, they are often a real highlight of the games.
Favorite? Hmmm, too many to list...
I loved the cheesy original game's intro, with the real life actors. It was a 1st for a video game (I think). Off course, the uncensored version is best.
RE2 had a ground breaking intro that blew me away and has some nice cinematics within the game but RE3 is probably my favorite. It's filled with awesome clips. The Nemesis intro still looks incredible today and the ending rules. RE-CV was a major disappointment with its cinematics. The majority are piss weak, especially when compared to RE3.
RE4 has some great clips but I'd have to agree with others and say that the BEST are found in the Outbreak games. File 1's intro is brilliant! The music and the artistic animation are stunning. It's like watching the start of what looks like an awesome movie. Both Outbreak games are loaded with great cinematics, IMO, the best in the series and among the best in any game.
I would also have to give an honorable mention to Umbrella Chronicle's cinematic of Jill, killing a zombie between her thighs .
Oh, and Dead Aim has a few good ones too.

I sort of preferred the opening to outbreak file 2 than file 1, i loved how we got to see new area's of raccoon city we had never seen before

Yeah, that was cool too. But I felt they put a bit less effort into making the 2nd intro...
I also forgot to mention REmake and Zero which have several good ones.
The intro to Zero is awesome and there are several good cinematics after. Billy's flashback is very memorable, it's brutal!

I love the opening of Resident Evil 3: Nemesis (German Version).
I restarted the game several times just to see it. I love the scene
in which the police men come out of the car. This scene looks like
                  a Computer Generated Hollywood Actionmovie.
But I also like the opening of Resident Evil 2. But RE3 is on the pole
