    This kind of threads remind me back then when RE3 was released; it feels like we've never play it before and are now amazed with how hard it is to beat Nemy... what a nostalgic feeling... *start to play RE3 again*

      It just matters how many times you kill him, not when you kill him.
      You could kill him as Jill after she wakes from the clocktower the first time, and get the handgun parts A.

      As for tips on killing nemesis.Spoiler:

        The name of the special shotty is the Custom Western. It's like a sawn-off that gets reloaded by twirling around. Yeah.

        Also, did you notice it's possible to confront the Nemesis more than 7 times? I'll make a list one day, but I know that it is possible. You don't get any extra rewards though.

            Have any of you guys tried the game using the cheat codes for the ESV think that's what it's called mode? Basically all enemies respawn and the encounters with nemesis is more or less doubled, it only went as far as the clocktower area might just take this mode up again I like my resi games at the mo to be super duper extreme edition hard

                ESV = Extra Survivor's Version

                It's a GameShark/Action Replay code I released along with someone else several years ago. It spawns Nemesis appearances in odd places (even during other event cutscenes so he's right in your face when the cutscene is over) and respawns all enemies between the beginning of the game until the end of the Clock Tower area. Put the game on hard and then put the code on for an extreme difficultly.

                We could get it to attach to the hospital with issues, and anything after the area beyond that (graveyard, factory) wouldn't work. So thats why it only goes to that point.

                The other issues are the code is exceptionally long to cover all the variables and it doesn't work on CD based devices because of the way it patched memory. You have to have the cartridge version. We also never got to make a version for any other edition but the PS1 edition for that reason. Someone with enough skill maybe able to complete the code and also make a version which would work with other editions (PS1 CD cheat devices, and the DC and GC editions of RE3).

                  I've got a good Gameshark emulator for ePSXe. Fire away! I'd like to try it.

                        It's a shame that it wouldn't work after the clock tower you guys made one hell of a mode that I love playing through when I get spare time (which is not much at the mo) an amazing set of codes though that's what capcom should have created as a mini game along with operation mad jackal.

                          I'm in the same boat as you, i also started nemesis on hard mode, but i've got killed twice, so much for trying to complete it without getting killed
                          I've tried the Mine thrower twice, used all 18 bullets that i had and no luck, so i might just have a bit of mine/magum together, i was saving the magum for the second to last fight with him in the dead factory, but i have 28 rounds, so i can waste at least 8 on clocktower nemesis for now.
                          I'll also try Gene's advice on flame rounds, only have 6 on me but i could mix some up with the good old tool maker.

                            In the Dead Factory, you can beat him with the hand gun if you lure him to the Acid Valves and hit those so they spray acid on him...

                              But the acid sprays doesnt always work as good as you expect, so you stil must have some tough weapon as a back up plan.

                                If he sees the valve opening, he'll actually back away from the valve. However after he loses his head, he can't see the vavles, and won't back away from them.

                                You can also knife them open too, or just defeat him with your conventional weapons
