  • Biohazard 1.5 Background Reproductions

I'm in the process of recreating every BH1.5 background (with the help of Alzaire) so we can have clean images of the game instead of blurry screenshots. Of course these aren't 100% accurate, but I'm trying my best to make them look authentic .

The same thread is over at Bioflames, but I figured I'd spread the word here too.

Awesome screens. I remember checking daily on your Bioflames thread, in case something new appeared.

How where these made? using 1.5 footage copying and pasting frames together to make bg's without characters / zombies being on top of the image?

Here's the extracted 320x240 ones from various demo disc's I can't remember who made them though.

You should try this with epsxe http://ogle.eyebeamresearch.org/download I tried it on re1 and got some corrupt backgrounds images, I'm not sure but it might work with psx str video streams too using a opengl plugin on a good graphics card, I think my images corrupted cos of my lowly card.

The backgrounds are made from scratch in 3DS Max. My goal is to have a complete set to go along with the trial disc backgrounds.

Ah, great! So you aren't doing ones we already have from the Trial Edition, right? Good idea ;) No need to waste your talent/time on ones that we have from Capcom. I don't suppose you'd be willing to render the truck area background in a very high resolution, like 1600x1200? I'd love to see all the texture work up close, and it would be nice to see what a high res RE game might look like XD

                        Right

Actually, that view in particular would look really bad in such a high resolution. I can post a high res image of the area beyond the gate though, showing all the carnage and the truck wreckage up close.

Just give me a few days

Ohh Yes please! I love you work! Are you using separate 3dsmax files for each background/room or are you connecting them all in one large map?

They are separate files (except the lobby, all the angles are from one huge model). If I connected them, my pc would probably explode.
